This is not a good way to cut jump rings, in my opinion. We have a plier that can assist you in this. It's a Private Label Rights product. 7-Inch Coil Cutting Pliers, 00 These will hold the coil in place while allowing a slot for the saw blade to pass through.
The table top or work bench is secured with the metal clamp.

I was hesitant to purchase it, but my concerns were unfounded. The clamp is great, but it only opens about a quarter of the way. a third of an inch So, if your bench is two feet thick, like mine, this clamp will not fit! I was able to relocate mine, so it wasn't a major setback for me, but it's still something to consider for an uninformed buyer. br>br>I'm not sure why this item is advertised as plastic when it's clearly made of wood in the picture and when I received it. It is, in fact, made of wood. br>br>Excellent product for newcomers. edit - br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> Even with all the cuts, carve-outs, and other messes, I'm still using it after more than two years, and it's still as useful as new. I've put a lot of outs and knicks in it, both intentional and unintentional, and it's a fantastic value!.
The clamp is missing, so there is no way to return it or file a complaint. Someone was most likely sleeping on the job while putting a simple bag into a bag, not that they care if the item bag is ripped open and missing parts. I didn't need the board anyway, so it wasn't a big deal. However, due to the lack of support 0000, this item receives a 0 immediately. There are numerous of them.
My hobby is making crafts, so I figured I wouldn't be able to find anything similar. But, if the Great Amazon is to be believed. I enjoy buying things here. If you're an Amazon fan, you'll understand what I'm talking about. It's simply perfect. Every product will always be dependent on your needs and knowing what you will get in terms of quality and price, and not always the most expensive is the best, but for the service, Amazon customer service, deliveries to my door, and many anticipated shipments, I would recommend it. Remember, "time is money," because today you'll be wasting time waiting in lines to pay, which is a nightmare! I'd rather spend my time on more important things and wait for products like this in the comfort of my own home. Perfect for me, as I'm making a wooden calado!.
The block is 7/16ths of an inch thick and made of hard maple. It came with a clamp, which I inletted for. Provides a stable surface for using a jeweler's or fret saw on. This is a great accessory for the craftsman, woodworker, or jeweler, and it should last a long time. This item is not as sturdy as a bench block, but it is very convenient for beginners to intermediates and fits onto table tops that are half inch to 1 5/8th inch thick.
If you're worried about damage to the underside of the table you're clamping it to, just put some cardboard under the clamp! I use it on the dining room table in my RV, and the round disc cuts into the bottom of the table, so I use a piece of cardboard or a small piece of rubber to stop it from happening. It probably should have come with some kind of protective cap to prevent this! Since I am a full-time RVer, I don't have that luxury, I'm guessing most people would use it as a work bench.
This is ideal for taking to classes or for use when you're not at your bench. The clamp is rock solid, which is crucial. The hardwood may not appear to be very lively, but appearances can be deceiving. I saw these in action at the Bead and Button Show in Milwaukee, where they were hammered, sawed, and beaten up by dozens of neophytes and still held up. br>br>Mine, too, is taking a beating, and that's what gives it character and distinguishes it as mine.
I've never used a file block before, but I really like this one. It is extremely durable, well-made, and has a straightforward design. It does exactly what it's supposed to do with no flaws, doesn't slip around while cutting, and can be customized to your liking with a jeweler's saw if you want an extra groove.
I won't be using the portable bench pin all that often. I was initially concerned about the clamp's ability to keep the bench pin in place while filling or sawing material. It was very stable during some filling when I used a ring clamp to hold my piece of jewelry. I noticed that the clamp was heavier than I had anticipated. My purchase has satisfied me.
