I received an item that was clearly used, which I returned.
It'll cost you a little more, but it'll be well worth it, and this is the best deal on these clamps you'll find.
I wish I had bought these clamps sooner because they save me so much time!.
I had previously purchased a less expensive brand. It was a cam system, but the rubber pads didn't stay in place. The Bessey EKT55 is a one-of-a-kind one-of-a-kind one The pads don't come loose with the Handed Edge Clamp, so it's a better gripper. The movement is fluid. The structure is solid. Handle is made of real wood. It's a bit pricey, but it's well worth the money.
They functioned flawlessly and were simple to operate with one hand.
They perform admirably.
It's a pain to deal with these things. By half, the mechanism is far too clever. It's difficult to describe them without mentioning them, but they're over-used. They are poorly engineered and perform poorly. I'll get 25% of what I paid on the used tool market if I am lucky. yecchh.
