In my case, the 12x12 tiles popped up. Some were clean, others were damaged. You're right, I couldn't find anything wider than this without going to 3Ds Max, but the effect worked well for popping the tiles off. If you want to use a mortar, though, you might have to get something wider

The following is an SDS A shank is also included. As well as my other Bosch drill bits, this one fits my HarborFreight drill. Here is the explanation that I found Bosch was the company behind the development of the SDS chuck. *br>SDS Plus is an improved version of the original SDS system, but it remains compatible with SDS bits, and it has become the most common version of the system
In both cases there will be the larger bit size and sds

In addition to the 400 square feet of old floor tile to be removed, I had to remove 12 years worth of tile. My friend used his hammer drill/jack hammer and I used this chisel to pop the tiles. A problem was the old mortar that needed to be removed before the new tiles could be installed. Although I was an older guy, I was able to complete the job in three days with the chisel. There were times when I sharpened it. With out it, I never could have completed the task. By the way, I'm retiring my chisel now, since this will definitely be my last tile job. My knees were constantly up and down, which caused a torn meniscus. I had to undergo knee surgery as a result. It took my knee more time and energy to use the chisel.
Flooring options such as ceramic tiles or wood floors may be taken up. I was able to fit the Steel Spade in my one-inch binder The diameter of the rotary is 1/8" It took up ceramic tiles on a kitchen floor which had been cemented to an underlayment of Cement Board (1/2" DurRock) which was unfortunately not only nail down but also glue down to the floor. Let's go down. Did they have any idea what they were A look below the thin layer of DurRock in search of nails I had a hard time getting the thin-film cement off, as well as trying to remove the cement I didn't like the set because it was too dusty. It's better to take off the Tile first, and then attack the DurRock from below. The job of working with Ceramic Tile mounted on DurRock is not for the faint of heart, and it requires a lot of effort. Having safety glasses, dust masks, and noise reduction earplugs will make things easier and safer It comes with muffs, as well as an On-off switch Thank you! Putting the knees to work is important. It was able to pick up the Roofing Nails that it encountered in the Cement Board with no issues. The 3" width of this spade is about the right width for getting into the Cement Board. To not directly contact the nails, place your fingers in between the nails.
On the project I am working on, I picked up most of the tile floor by hand. I got a demo hammer from a big box store and used it. Due to the vibration, it was both a bit heavy and a bit expensive. My arms felt like they would fall off if I used it for an extended period. A rotary hammer and this tool were the two I decided to buy. It's amazing how much of a difference there is! Thinset was easily cut with this bit, and it seemed very durable as well.
15 minutes after it was placed in the hammer drill, the end broke.
It appears that the build quality on this stand alone chisel is a lot better than the build quality on another set of chisels that I bought from On the steel of that shisel set, there were many pits and poor craftsmanship. Despite the lack of perfect build quality on this stand alone shisel, it is better than the other The weather should be kind to it.
It seems to be working well. The tool was used on a Bosch hammer drill for about 420 square inches My use of it was pretty intense on a small concrete beam as well. It worked like a charm. I bought two, but didn't have to use the second one because the first one stood up so well. The money you spend is well spent.
I used it to scrape tile off a floor and Set of thinly layered pieces.
I removed my thinset from my patio using this product and it worked great. As stated, it complied with its obligations.
