I did an awful lot of work, but it was worth it. There is only one thing I would suggest when it comes to thin stamped fence posts. It has a bent section (5 ft of thin stamped steel). Made from heavy stamped metal 6 ft tall. The posts were perfect in my yard. I have very rocky soil, so nearly every post was on a stone within a few strike distances. To destroy the rocks, you have to be persistent. I'm unsure if the force smashed the rocks or pushed them aside. My 15 posts all went in, but the ones I didn't went to the 'dark web'. do recommend it, but if you are the type of person who is a desk jokey like me, you will have soar arms.
I used the drivers on metal T posts and they worked perfectly. Two and a half inches by two and a sixteenth inches internal dimension.
No damage to the driver occurred during delivery of the package, but there was some minor damage to the package. We were a little late in receiving the product because Covid is always a little late. The handle has extremely sharp edges right where you can hold it, and I don't like that at all. The sharp edges will either need to be removed or I will need to wear thick gloves if I want to use this without cutting my hands. It would be better if quality control was better.
It looks sturdy enough for hundreds of miles of pounding. I like the size and balance of the product. Despite my disappointment, I am still loyal to it. My order was delivered with a 12lb (medium) post driver. Not an 18lb (heavy duty) driver as I had On the verge of resolving this issue.
Over the years, I've driven several hundred Toyotas I have posted with this driver to multiple sites, and unlike other brands I have looked at, this one is standing up to heavy use. It is just the right weight, heavy enough for me to effectively hit the post, but not so heavy that I start wearing myself out before I am It was done by a determined welder who was taking pride in his work, and who knew what he was doing. Most likely I won't ever need to reweld the handles or find another, which would be very unlikely unless this one "wanders off".
I've never experienced anything better than this post hole pounder! I use it to quickly and easily post - I find it very useful A few are even medium-sized Wood stakes with a thick core. It is also a good way to relieve frustration in a constructive way - just think about it It's a hassle (fill in the blank) that I hate" Then you'll have your fence up just in a few minutes when you bang in the posts.
A few manufacturing defects were noticeable in the handle from the moment I received the driver, as seen in the photo below. When I used the driver, there were sharp edges which would have cut my hands or gloves. Due to its condition when received, it would have not been safe for use. In order to make the piece sturdy, I had to sand or grind all the defects off and then repaint the whole thing. In no way was it a non-issue This is a trivial step that shouldn't be left to the buyer, and I hope future buyers will have a better experience.
The product was the best value I've seen for something similar, though there was a sharp edge on the With a little effort, I managed to hammer In my opinion, it would be worth buying.
