One of my arms is missing. I used to struggle to hold the post between my knees and hammer the top of the post with a hammer, but now I can drive fence posts with just one hand. This tool is exhausting, but it does the job. I can now drive in my own fence posts without needing to rely on someone else to hold them in place. It appeals to me. Only if someone else took care of the heavy lifting would it be better.
Last year, I spent hours hammering fence posts around our garden, and I was exhausted. This was purchased for the purpose of installing six foot posts in our new home. I tried hammering but couldn't get the posts in because of the rocks. When I returned after receiving this, I was astounded! I not only completed all of the posts, but I went above and beyond. To get a post in, you'll need four strikes. It's incredible how simple it is to operate. I'm 63 years old, and I had no problems with it. Place the hollow end of the post around it, raise it up and down, and it will be in the ground. It's amazing how easy it is. It is extremely loud, so I recommend wearing ear protection. If you're going to put any posts in the ground, I strongly advise you to do so. It worked perfectly in North Carolina, where the ground is very rocky. I paid a lot of money for this, but it was well worth it.
It's a large chunk of metal designed for pounding in T-shirts. Post. effortlessly accomplishes this. When driving post, be careful how high you lift it; I was talking and looking at my 9-year-old when I went too high and concussed myself.
I'm looking for a small fence post driver. The speed with which the post is driven into the ground is incredible. It's a bit heavy, and as a woman, I have to use it with caution. It's a lot better than breaking the post by pounding it with a hammer.
I couldn't believe how stupid I was to put those metal posts in that position after I got this. By getting this, you'll save yourself a lot of time and trouble, as well as some danger. It will be well worth your time and effort!.
br> To support a few birch tree saplings that were growing at an angle, I had to drive a few 2" x 6ft green stakes into the ground. br>I used to do things the old fashioned way, with a 4x4 and a sledge hammer. Even at 6 feet, this driver makes it look so easy. Granted, it was raining and I was dragging them through the grass around a stump. However, it took about 5 hammers to go down 12 inches with each one. It's tough but not overly so, and it's powerful enough to get the job done.
But it's the Inside Diameter, which is stated to be 2-inches, that I have a problem with. 7/8". I needed at least a 2-bedroom apartment for my specific requirements. This driver should have worked if the diameter of the hole was 3/4" or larger. However, this was not the case. The true inside diameter is just under two inches. So the largest diameter I could find was just shy of 2-inches, which is made worse by the shape not being fully round, but rather being a bit flatten on the welded side. 3/4" was used in some places, and it was reduced to less than 2" in others. 3/8". So keep that in mind. if the inside diameter is critical to your needs.
Handles are angled slightly toward the user (rather than being 180 degrees apart). It had a lot more ring than I expected when I used it - Protect your ears by wearing hearing aids.
