Spacious and large, this spading fork is perfect for digging holes. It is common practice to cut spade forks to a foot or so shorter. The tines in this one are thick metal, so you could certainly use it to dig in the The hay pitchfork you are using here is not designed for straw or light duty materials like that. It is strong enough to turn compost piles and twist while lifting and without having to worry about it snapping at any point. The length of this one means you don't have to bend over in order to use it. In terms of the time that has been saved, it has paid for itself very quickly.
In the details on the Amazon site, it is stated that this fork is made in Poland. The country has a long tradition of making
In the event of very hard or tough soil, with roots, rocks, etc., a pick mattock is an excellent (undriven) tool for breaking up the soil. If you get stuck with a fork, keep this in mind. It is also possible to soften tough soil by simply covering it with a thick layer of compost (6" or more) while allowing the earthworms to work on it for at least
Handles are made from heavy duty rubber, which are attached with screws to the fork portion. In my experience, it seems to be well made, I have been using mine for some three years without any issues. That should be of some help.

My 6'1" height and this fork made me feel comfortable using it when I dug in the garden for small tasks around the yard. I bought this fork to dig in a big compost pile, 4' x 4'. However, I am finding that the fork is too small for a pile this size. I'm having to use tremendous force just to turn the pile and I end up with compost on my feet. This is not the fault of the fork though. At the nearby big box store, I need to buy a compost fork that is a bit longer. I really love the D handle on this fork, as it allows you to lift loads while keeping your back straight, which is important for someone like me who has bad back problems. The fork I provided is as long as I could find that had a D handle, but if you are able to find one with a longer handle, let me know. A small screw at the base of the D handle is all that holds it on. It is made of plastic, but has a very heavy handle- As an obligation In no circumstance could I see how it could break. Although it seems heavier than you would expect, it is the result of the fork This fork has a great design, and the ergonomic handle is great Use of the device is extremely convenient. Any problems with the handle I encounter will be posted here if they arise. You are welcome to ask any questions you have about the fork in the comments. I will do my best to respond to you quickly.
I am trying to be as honest and honest as possible in my reviews since I previously wrote a review which did not reflect the true nature of the product. My review of the Friskars Fork needs to be rewritten. have previously voiced my complaint about the finish work on the tines, which in all honesty could have been better, but why should it matter if one does not intend to display the fork? Digging potatoes with a fork in semi clay soil was an experience I've had. In hard soil, anyone who harvests potatoes with a pitch fork knows that you will soon need a new pitch fork. You can use this fork to cultivate potatoes or to dig holes. Despite its solid design, the fork is able to easily pry up hard soil. As far as I could tell, it was light in weight It works very well. I'm very pleased with it. We guarantee that you will not be disappointed if you purchase it. A lifetime warranty is provided in the event that the product breaks due to a defect in the material.
I bent the fork after the very first use of the "heavy duty". There is thinness to the teeth An old friend who has been gardening for years said, "That's not a garden fork - it's a potato fork. ". The tines of the tree could be bent by (He is 74 years old. This is not something I would recommend If I had the option, I would give it no stars.
It is sturdy and good quality. The garden fork was purchased to replace one I had from Kmart some 15+ years ago (the handle socket had failed due to rust and heavy usage). The longer one is better for me. It is better-than- The handle is average in size and allows for better leverage when lifting rocks from clay soil or if you need to use it as an alternative to a rototiller. A heavy duty fork. It seems to be built to last, but I wonder if some of the tines need to be replaced- there seems to be some bending in them. Possibly I have been too aggressive in prying out rocks buried in the soil. As long as I take good care of it, hopefully this will be the last fork I require, going on 62 years old. The purchase would be made again (e. g. You can't have it if it was stolen!.
Within just two uses (about 90 minutes total), the tine on one of the ends had bent and the plastic sheath on the grip had frayed severely. There was clay in the soil, and it had previously been It didn't appear that there were any rocks or large roots. In light of how little I used the fork over time and its cost, I no longer recommend it. There's nothing wrong with the structure, just.
It is somewhat better but not as good as the snow shovel. A 10 yard truck was used to move I have become a little smarter each year when it comes to mulching. It is terrible to use a normal shovel. Although a snow shovel is better, it doesn't seem to be very much better. The improved 10-ton manure fork of last year was significantly improved, but would cause clumping and have to continuously pull off mulch that got stuck. As far as the mulching goes, this fork seems robust and did a great job. It was the perfect combination when coupled with scraping the driveway at the end with the manure fork. This looks like it will last for a long time as it is well made and steel is exactly what I was looking for.
As with most Fiskars products, this is like a Cadillac in the garden tool category. I have made a great investment that I can pass on to the next generation of gardeners in my family when I finally hang up my.
I like the way this unit looks. The package has just been delivered. Although the listing title makes it sound like it has a steel handle, it actually has a plastic one. Fix the title of the listing so that it makes sense.
