The designer made a mistake
3/5

I put up with another brand of fork for years. I found the tines in the center of the rake would bend almost every time I dug Several times of bending it back straight, I finally broke the metal, and the tine came out. As a result of my research, I found out a lot about the DeWit company and was very impressed. In the first place, the tools sounded like they were top quality and almost Therefore, they would certainly work for my modest needs of weeding or cultivating every now and then, My first attempt at bending a tine with my hand was when I unboxed my new DeWit fork (which had been fairly easy with my old one). No matter what I tried, I couldn't get it to move! It is strong, as they claim, to have Swedish Boron steel. put it to the test by weeding in the yard. The soil seemed to be loosening after a few minutes, but it wasn't long before I could see it begin The tines, however, are not to be confused with It is made out of steel and is attached to the handle by a steel neck. A few times, I had to turn it over and force it back into sort of what it was before The straight path. This popped the head off of the neck the last time I tried it (see photo below). Seeing as how I am not an engineer, it seems pretty obvious to me that this fork has a couple As a start, the neck is bent by the manufacturer in the same direction that the digging force is applied to this It would seem that this would reduce its rigidity, wouldn't it? Could it not be better to brace any bends or use a piece of steel that is vertically flattened instead of round? A second reason is that the neck was pounded on the back side of the head to create a slight lip after becoming integrated with a hole in the tine head. It is obvious that the lip is not strong enough to stop the neck from pulling out. An arc weld connection would be far superior, wouldn't it? I rate it five stars for the nice, durable handle made of ash, as well as the unbendable tines. However, if there is no strong connection between the two, they are useless. A single star is awarded to this fork. If you are digging in fluffy pre-teen piles, it probably won't affect you I need loosening soil for actual work, but I can't get it for that.

Though, the Classic is a solid hand fork that will do you well for a long time
5/5

To compare the quality of the "Dewit" hand fork and the "Classic" hand fork, I bought both hand forks at the same time. Although the Classic is a good fork that will last you a long time for less than half the price of the Dewit, the Dewit truly is a good I love the way the handle feels in my hand and how the tapered tines end in a sharp point that penetrates even tough soil. Yes, it costs $20 as opposed to $7, but as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for. ". You should get serious about your gardening tools if you are serious about it. This fork is well deserved by you!.

This product is as sturdy as an ox and worthy of every cent! It's as solid as a fork made of ox meat
5/5

Having broken two of the cheap ones within days of first using them, I decided to invest a little more in them to see if they held up. It's a yes. With the use of this tool, you will be able to break up soil or break through hard clumps of earth or plant matter, and the strong tines will give you extra leverage when dealing with It could have done without a moulded plastic handle, but that is not a problem, as this one is very comfortable and if I take good care of it, would last as long as other models. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book.

It is the best tool in the world
5/5

This company has a total of four tools I have ordered from them. Love the quality of these. They will last for years to come. With this tool, I flipped all my large planters over and it worked just like all the tools from Dewitt I have.

Stainless steel hand fork from DeWit Forged
5/5

I still like it as much as my Smith and Hawkins fork, despite it being different. Although they are expensive, they usually outlive their owners and are passed down from generation to generation. I would recommend it to anyone. As well as this, it has a straight tyne design, which is functional and of use for weeding, so I The device is somewhat differently configured, but works well and does not leave me with any residual discomfort in my hands or arms. In other words, they have figured out how to do the function.

Roots can be dug up easily with this product
5/5

Known for their quality, durability, and well-crafted designs, DeWit products can be counted on to last a long time. Despite its small size, this hand fork performs well. Those sturdy prongs go deep into the dirt, allowing you to tilt down on the fork without bending while raising the dirt and roots. I am very satisfied with the DeWit The purchase was a wise decision.

Excellent fork
5/5

I use it a lot. Excellent fork. I use it a lot. A sturdy and good metal appears to have been used. My experience with digging out rocks is limited, so I am not sure how well it The broom I have is well taken care of, as I dry it after it gets wet and don't keep it outside when I'm not using it. There is a nice feel to this tool. It has a sharp, crisp feel to the tines. The digger is used to dig iris, dig plants for transplanting, weed, mix fertilizer and compost into my small raised beds, loosen the soil around my lettuce plants, and perform other small gardening tasks. I have one negative to report. The item was only packaged in paper with one of the sharp tines sticking out of the lid, making it dangerous for.

A great tool to use in the garden
5/5

In my hard clay and black dirt garden all summer, I have been trying to get rid of most of the weeds and grass. A little fork like this one can be used for digging the soil, to scrape it aside to plant things, and to sift the soil so the weeds will rise to the surface. Although I dug everything out and replanted the flowers in these beds, I found it difficult to remove all of the weeds without stepping on the dirt, and some of the weeds went under the loose dirt. Would have loved to have had this tool years.
