This fork is sturdy enough to scoop and move mulch. Is it sturdy enough to move The description of the item stated that the tines are made of "heavy gauge wire". Are those true?

Despite its lightweight design, it is sturdy. My problem was with the design of the site. It feels heavy because it is short and thus doesn't allow a lot of leverage, so one cannot get leverage to lighten the load. Despite my best attempts, I could not find shipping under $45 to return it. When I purchased it, I asked the company from whom I purchased it, "Great Household", if I could use their shipping method since they had charged me I paid a total of 37 to have it shipped At first, they rebuffed me until I inquired about Amazon, at which point they told me it had cost them $31 to ship and that the item was being discontinued. I still have it in its original packaging in my basement. There is no record of ever having used it. It's not likely that you live in Louisville, KY, is it?

This method would work when digging taters, flipping compost, etc.?

Putting a shovel in a potato is not allowed. Sure, flipping compost is a good idea!

You saved me a lot of time. My garden fork was a small one that I used for many In order to fill my wheelbarrow with mulch from a half-acre, I would need about fifteen shovels. We are now at number It is the only thing I regret not having bought earlier.

This is a heavy-duty machine

I love it! I feel like I am holding a brick when I use this tool! Typically I buy relatively heavy shovels for shoveling mulch, but this one is perfect. It is a bit heavy, but that makes it better than being too light.

A great tool for a specialized task

Specialty tool of excellent quality. It is perfect for moving compost or for scooping up debris that is left by grass growth. When using a tine, you can easily reach areas that a solid shovel cannot reach.
