Plus, you have two times more leverage, and bypass is much closer. As a user of this tool, of which I have more than a half dozen of various sizes and which I use a lot, it exceeded my expectations. They feel solid yet not heavy, and have less plastic to crack than my Friskars extendable loppers, which had been a constant companion to my chainsaw up until one of the plastic extender clamps broke after only a year. Additionally, the offset bar provides a higher degree of leverage. It is also close to the bypass for better fit. The blade cover can be taken off for further sharpening, and the blade can be disassembled to allow more complete sharpening. Since it is not a common color tool, it will be more likely to be recognized as mine. It is not as likely to be accidentally tossed away since it's pretty.

In terms of pruning, the product is effective. We had a problem where the right extension handle of the lopper would totally separate during the initial and subsequent usage processes. This product has been returned (an inconvenience) and I plan to order a replacement, hoping the replacement will not separate from the original.

I bought this as a gift You can adjust the handles to your liking, but the best part of Amazon is how fast it delivers your order. Unfortunately, the blades are dull, so you'll have to pay for them to be sharpened if you can't do it yourself.
