Questions & Answers

.Is it possible to apply this over the cured totalboat penetrating epoxy without primer? Greetings! Thanks a lot! ?

There is a phone number on the website for Total Boat. In light of my lack of experience with boat care, and given that I am not versed in boat care on any level, I suggest calling them up directly. You would be able to learn the best ways to react to their products if you asked them. I hope this helps you and best of luck with your next

My question is maybe a little silly. Is it possible to use this in the ?

My guess would be that it would work if it was a fiberglass tub. As this is very thick paint, I'm not sure it would look good. It is designed for boat bilge that is submerged and is not visible by most people, so we are not considering it for cosmetic purposes.

When applied to bare wood, would this paint work well?

The product description indicates that it is suitable for use with wood and fiberglass. I was able to stick it to my paint sticks well.

I am very pleased with the This is the only acrylic paint that is healthy for birds that I found to be toxic, so I bought it to use to paint a cement bird bath
5/5

It looks like plastic, which I like. I can't comment on its safety or durability at this point. I recommend using paint thinner to clean your brush or buying several inexpensive paint brushes, as mineral spirits will not rinse the product out of them.

A paint that isn't common
5/5

I first want to say how fantastic this paint is! As a professional, I use only the best bilge paint. The most important part of any project is preparing for it. As it turned out, I had been nasty. My first step is to degrease and thoroughly clean using gunk First, the alcohol was denaturalized, then the wax was removed, and then more alcohol was added. In the end, the surface was very irregular, so I went over it with 80 grips to smooth it out. You can imagine that, yes. There is more deep cleaning to be done. Having completed the surface preparation, it was now time to There's a lot of paint on this wall! With a thinner, you can get as low as 10%, but I prefer to apply a heavy coat first. The brush is what I use, not a roller, and I get a great cover. br>After the first coat was dry, it was time for the second. The first coat is cleaned and sanded with 150 grip and then a second coat is applied. I really like how the finish turned out! Make sure you have a good mask ready! There is a lot of odor in paint since it contains a high percentage of VOCs. Therefore, I would like to make the following first recommendations Maintain a clean, clutter-free workspace and try to keep dust under control If you want to avoid a mess when painting with this paint, have lots of rags on hand. Second, get a good fan or make sure you have Apply paint masks that are designed for professional use. Unlike the common ones, the uncommon ones do not qualify. As a whole, I'm really pleased with this paint but do need to take precautions when using it.

The state of hardening up never really occurred
4/5

Despite going down easily, here is where I had some trouble. Even after five days, it had not *additional information*additional information A star has a value of one to four. As a result of communication between the company and me, we learned much about the application of the paint, and the conditions which it was applied in. My refund was fully processed and I received my refund as soon as they fixed it. Regardless of the fact that the product didn't work for me (and there definitely is some responsibility on my part), the company was responsive and took care of my needs. As a result, I would be glad to work with.

It requires minimal preparation, and it came out much better than I had anticipated

The boat paint can be a bit tricky to use, but this one was no problem. After I scrubbed with Simple Green degreaser, rinsed it off, barely dry, I applied this out onto gelcoat, fiberglass, old bilge paint, unknown paint, and closed cell foam and it covered everything in a lovely Then again, had I not already bought topside paint, I may have considered this. This was the paint I used to paint everything below the deck as well as the interior Two notes it is thick, it will stretch and cover, but I used a brush and I wouldn't roll it unless you are painting a very large area with no wrinkles. When it comes to cleaning up, acetone dissolves it well.

It is terrible to smell, it goes off fast, but dries hard after it dries
4/5

I bought this based on recommendations from In one case, the guy suggested that it be used for deck paint, both said it was durable. As stated in the instructions, it does not have UV inhibitors, so it should be used exclusively in For my exposed anchor well, I used it as a test and we will see how durable it is for both the bilge (wet environment) and the anchor well (wet environment The quantity needed is far greater than what is indicated in the recipe, and I underestimated it as usual. I'm going to buy another one. Apparently the paint smells like industrial marine paint, which is my perception of how much super-smelly solvents it contains. Despite my best efforts, the paint starts to dry very fast, and I wish I had thinned it to slow things down or, at the very least, make application easier and quicker. It will take more than one coat if you want an even, seamless look. In view of the fact that it is the bilge/fish hold and most of the time covered, I think I will Getting the epoxy clean is a hassle and you'll need a thinner or solvent that is compatible with epoxy. Instead of using rollers and brushes, I opted to use disposable ones. You just don't want to put in the effort.

Did I mention the fumes are nasty? As I apply the cream for half an hour, I wonder how many chromosomes I have This paint is highly recommended since the anchor well just had a week to cure, and it has already hardened.

This was applied over two parts of.

Make sure you follow the In my bass boat, I got this paint to cover up a fiberglass repair I had done
4/5

The stuff stinks. Make sure to use it in a well-ventilated area. I love it when people laugh at me. As soon as the fiberglass was finished. Using sandpaper, I lightly scratched and scuffed up the I followed the instructions and applied 3 light coats. Let them dry between each coat for a minimum of 18 hours. I let the final coat dry a bit longer than expected. It took me about one and a half days to work on it after the last The screen was still good enough to use, but still needed a fingerprint to use. Day 3 would be the last day for it to hold fingerprints. The design looks great. To paint this area I used a 3" brush and had only one pass over it. If you want for it to tack up quickly, place enough on the brush and make a complete stroke. The service was great and I would definitely use it.

I give it two thumbs up Glad to hear that We wish everyone a happy and healthy life

Two coats of two-component paint were used on the bilge The epoxy paint part of the VCPerformance V127/V128 series from Interlux Several years ago, I used this as a bilge paint, which was horrible That's too much- The paint did not cover, it ran all over the place when I painted, and it did not resist oil and crud over time (this is really more a paint for the outside of boats). In any case, this is the only one One coat of TotalBilge went on pretty thick, stayed where I put it, and covered almost everything (with the exception of red antifreeze stains). Even though the paint was thick, it went quite a distance A little over half of what I had It can hold up to 1,000 gallons (in a I felt like soap had melted on my hands while cleaning up the paint all over my hands felt like that- Using just water, the right way to do it- I surprised myself by how easy it was. A season or two of use will give me a better understanding of this review, but my early observations have been.
