If this product is applied to unfinished wood, does it impart that orange-colored tint Can you make out the ?

If you apply it, it will darken the natural tone of your wood, just as it does with other oil based finishes (Teak, Danish, etc.). Moreover, if white to light brown wood is involved, it will develop an unsightly orange tinge. recommend you use lacquer, shellac, urethane, or polyurethane on wood that is light in color. the event that the wood is naturally orange, the oil would just darken it to a orange-colored shade A dark brown color. Would you be able to tell me how to get the lid opened on mine?

As well as me, I couldn't get mine to open. The container had to be cut.

What if I used this on the handle of an ax? How slippery is it when it dries?

As I've used it on the handle of my 16' hatchet, I have had no issues with gripping it.

I would have loved to have been able to open that
3/5

Among the gifts I bought were two birdhouses that I sealed with this. After I setup my work area and received the product promptly, I was able to get started. There was a problem with the packaging of the product. It was not possible for me to open the can in order "Safety" ring was applied to the metal top and failed to readily grip the metal underneath, making it impossible to open - When I removed the safety ring, the metal cap was almost welded onto it thanks to how tightly sealed it was. My attempts to take off the cap were vain- I tried all kinds of grips- and others- but I could not do it- It was returned and I ended up buying one from my local hardware store without having to handle packaging for a fraction of the cost.

A beautiful finish was left on the wood
5/5

I used this to seal up a couple I mixed some thinner with it as recommended and it worked perfectly. Wood sucked up the first three coats of varnish and left a gorgeous warm tone behind it, showing off the grain beautifully. It was a very pleasing experience. The best part is it arrived two days later.

A lack of packaging made the can vulnerable to damage
3/5

The lid was not accessible to those who couldn't open it. The lid functions as a safety device, like the one found The lid comes off easily with a twist. You need to push it down to make it pop off. I have not used the product yet, but put it in a plastic bag just in case the dent leaks.

A common linseed oil in a container that looks like something from the future
4/5

When it comes to linseed oil, it works pretty well. It works perfectly well, but the reviews do not exaggerate when they mention the difficulty in opening it. My only option was to use a lighter on the cap to get it to work. The hand injury hurt me, however. My soapstone sculpture looks nice and shiny because it has been.

It's easy to use
5/5

Try it out and you'll be pleasantly surprised. My concern was not that the container was hard to open, but that other people had reported it to me. My handle may be different from yours, but I used this to treat the handles on both of the hammers I use for blacksmithing, and it worked wonderfully. Very thick, but does not take long to absorb. There is no smell to it, and it does not leave a greasy or tacky feeling behind. Smoothes the handle of the handle and makes it durable. I have no idea how to explain it. Just try it out.

The sheets are very strong in odor, but they soak well
4/5

My experience with Linseed oil is not so great, but I thought I'd experiment with this one. It was mentioned that some people even painted their cutting boards with it. In any case, I don't know what they were thinking, because Sunnyside specifically warns against using either the raw or this on food preparation surfaces on their website. In saying that, I believe common sense should have also been taken into account. I was amazed at how hard it was to open this bottle, since I assume it is so dangerous for The odor of chemical became very strong as soon as the lid was opened. There is no possible way anyone in their right mind would use this product on their cutting board when food grade oil would do the same thing. Metal additives are used by Sunnyside the odor is light. Sunnyside describes this in their data sheet. However, I found this one to be an experience similar to opening a can of gasoline. With all of that said, it works just fine. Compared to other natural oils based on nuts, this oil absorbed considerably better. Here is my two cents use it outside or with a fresh breeze. A little bit should be poured into a small cap, and then the pint should be kept Rather than using rags, use a paper towel to apply the primer (since rags are a fire hazard due to their unstated additives) and also sand it a little. Apply again and let it While it has a much stronger yellow tint than other nut base oils, this product still exhibits a very golden tint on Use it on something in the middle of the shade, but that will not be light brown, unless you don't mind it turning yellow. For pine, mahogany, or the heartwood of rosewood where the oil color is more intense than the natural color of the wood, a tung oil finish is best.

It rejuvenates old furniture bringing it back to life! It takes 1/3 cup of ingredients to prepare the recipe
5/5

Linseed oil boiled in a third of a cup. The following is the formula 1/3 cup turpentine. You must use white vinegar to prevent corrosion Make sure the shake is well mixed. With a soft cloth, apply the balm and wipe with a soft cloth just to be sure it's completely gone. Keep out of reach of children. It needs to be clearly labeled and out of reach.
