This is a very good product. Additionally, the price is a good deal when you consider everything together. In extreme conditions, the shiny metal pan tolerates scraping and scraping with the drywall knives, and even though it scratches quite a bit (as you'd expect), the scratches are not rusted. The knives scrape clean in just one or two strokes because it is incredibly sharp and straight on the edges. Cleaning it is easy - I just scrape it first with a plastic putty knife in the sink, then scrub with disposable paper towels and let the water do the bulk Besides being the right size for taping, applying second coats, and finishing the work, the knives themselves are just the right mix of types. As far as minimizing the amount of sanding necessary, I have gotten good results but I think someone who is more proficient at it could do it a lot better. This has certainly helped me to sand less than I would have normally had to. It is so much easier to do this with this. It is far more effective than using putty knives, as I did. It is flexible enough. Make sure to dry the tools with paper towels after thoroughly cleaning them each time you use them. Unlike a little taping knife or a plastic one, this is far more advanced. With this kit, you're getting a great price for what's included.
We have been using them for about 2 weeks and they are already starting to rust. There is some kind of plastic film that slowly comes off, sometimes in the Knives are designed well, but they just don't perform well in terms of quality. Despite its small size, this pan is very efficient.
The pan worked well. There were some sharp edges to be aware of, so tape the edges on or dull the edges a little beforehand. It is very easy to clean up.
I really like this It is also very easy for these films to ding/scratch easily, and they rust almost instantly, even after drying immediately.
I like the durability of this drywall mudder and the fact that it won't rust. I'm glad to see DeWalt get more involved with drywall.
After being bent twice, the blade of the 12" knife developed a w shape.
The surface rusted rapidly.
