The journeyman taper I am is 54 years old and has been in the trade There is no other knife I have owned that compares to these. They don't fold like Warner knives do, so the corners are not rounded. There are good balances and they can withstand quite a bit of punishment. A great tool is the big back taping knife. There are stainless steel 6 and 8 inches as well as 10 inches. The knives I'm looking at are fantastic.
Firstly, he likes the sturdy handle, as well as the stainless steel blade. Secondly, he sees a lot of potential in working with tight edges (he's very particular about that). His other blades are too thick for some jobs so he is glad that this one is a thin blade and yet still made of strong steel so that it won't bend or rust. The customer service people are also outstanding and honorable. All around pleased with the outcome.
The steel is sharp and keeps a nice edge. It has been made straight and is well protected in transit. A pre bent curve is not present. I think it would be great if the glue for the sticker were of a different composition, as some people like to carry more mud around with them.
Consequently, one of the corners of the item was bent. In retrospect, I should have returned it right away. While I did attempt to correct the corner, this tool will probably never be used in the manner I had intended.
The knives I own work so well, I am blown away by them. Material that is strong and built to last.
The project did not do well at all. Although the tool is well built and sturdy, it does tend to take a beating over time.
A solid foundation. There will be no need to replace this item for years to come. There are straight edges on the sides. The blades are made of stainless steel. Since I prefer smooth edges, I used wet sand to deburr my workpiece.
This is a very useful The 16-inch knife is great. It is pre-owned. A bevelled edge. It is fairly stiff. Perfect for skimming and knocking down.
