The material between the two brown liners (which must be peeled off when applying this product) is almost 100% transparent.

Is it possible for the adhesive to adhere to Copper?

Yes, this material sticks to metals well, including copper. To achieve the best adhesion, the metal surface must be dry, clean, and smooth.

I plan on making coasters out of this. Will this adhere to a cork backing as well as the back of a ceramic tile?

I haven't tried it on cork or ceramic tile, but it worked great on everything else (wood, MDF). Because it is extremely adhesive, make sure that everything is lined up exactly where you want it because once it is stuck down, it cannot be moved! I hope this helps; I would use it on cork and ceramic without hesitation.

This is some seriously sticky stuff! My 2011 MacBook Pro had to have its glass replaced

The adhesive on the replacement glass simply wasn't up to the task. I was able to make new strips for the glass by following the detailed and very thorough instructions included with this sheet. So far, it's clinging to me like a vice, and I'm hoping that will continue.

It gets the job done

I can't speak to the durability, but it appears to be holding up after two months. A large aluminum heat sink was attached to an aluminum plate using the adhesive. The plate has reached a temperature of 179°F. It's simple to cut with a razor, and the warnings about removing the paper are a little exaggerated if you carefully peel them apart.

Although it appears to hold up well, this material is extremely thin and difficult to work with. It's difficult to tell the difference between the printed side of the tape and the side that's already stuck to the work. A razor blade is required, and be prepared for some difficulty and frustration when using this tape in some applications.

I liked that it came in a sheet that I could cut to size, and that it was very thin, even thinner than the original double-sided tape. Unfortunately, 3M does not sell this in a thicker size because it is so thin that when cutting the paper with scissors, 3M recommends sanding the edge before peeling. Air bubbles were a problem for me.
