Only one 24" wide sheet of texture was used to cover about 55 square inches. A bathroom with a square footage of 75 square feet. Using a smaller blade didn't seem to make much difference to me, and I may not use one in the future. Due to my amateur status and the fact that it was my first try, my recommendation is not based on extensive working
As for the blade, it The thickness of a human hair is about 06".
Please refrain from using it for a skim coat since it's too pliable. It's better to have a metal blade than a ridged one. It is necessary to make the mud thicker than the texture in order Taping mud would break this knockdown knife if you tried to apply it thickly.

I was never asked to review this knockdown knife by Amazon. I am so pleased with the results I have been getting that I want other people who are scratching their head about how to fix "that spot" in their ceiling to know that this is by far the best option available. Even though I am not a professional, I have renovated a lot of drywall and painted rooms. It went through five or six buckets of water and damaged the knockdown texture on the ceiling in three rooms. It took me a while to decide whether to buy an acrylic knife or a drywall knife, so I finally went with this cheap acrylic knife. It is amazing how much has changed. To patch up the affected area of my car, I use one of those swiss cheese looking sponges to apply TINY TINY peaks of mud and 2 coats of mud per coat. Three inches beyond that point. If you used standard lightweight mud, let it sit for 15 minutes and smooth the peaks with this knife. Voila, as long as you did not load everything up too heavy, everything should blend in and with a coat of paint, you won't even question its existence. Whenever there is too much mud on the peaks, everything just smooths out like When that happens, scrape it before it dries and start over (as Anyhow, get this knockdown Hyde knife - it will be the key to your.
While the ends are threaded for pole use, they are otherwise not threaded. I used it to knock down a ceiling and it worked well. The sticker was annoying, so it was deducted one star. These days, it seems companies feel the need to graphically brand the crap out of their products with the lowest quality, most difficult to remove adhesive. You can expect to spend 30 minutes trying to remove it.
I am so glad I bought it! I knocked down & fought back Our newly replaced ceiling blended out so easily when we took out a bunch of walls in the kitchen. A Mixed 1 was produced. A sponge was wiped onto the wall after mixing 5 gal of premixed mud with 1 cup of water. This knife was used after I waited 20 minutes for it to go It worked like a charm.
Although I may not be a drywall contractor, I sell properties frequently. It takes some time and patience to patch and refinish rock walls so that they match existing ones as well as look right. It used to be that I used a 14" sheetrock knife to knock down walls, but this tool is much I like this because I don't have to worry about drag or bounce. It works well even to knock down some sprayed mud that has gotten wet. If someone truly skilled in finishing Sheetrock was able to utilize this, I can only imagine how powerful the results would be.
Knives such as this one make knocking down easy. If you're going to drag it, make sure to spray it with water first. Ideally, the blade should be stored upright or suspended so that there is no pressure on it, or else it may It should not be washed with hot water.
The product is easy to use and great. You will find that the results you get.
An easy way to get a knock-off is to . . . It has a texture of down.
