The ultimate spatula for scraping a smash burger off the griddle, but I can't speak to how well it does drywall mud. The price of this tool would be two to three times higher if it were sold in the kitchen department. In the dishwasher, it cleans up beautifully.

It is important to remain aware that any steel that contains iron will rust. You can see by looking at the magnet attached to the knife that a lot of iron is present. I would not be so literal if there were just a few iron particles in it and the magnet barely stuck in place. It's not true stainless steel, but they have a nice look. As with my acid dripped knives, I suspect they are coated with a stainless that will eventually wear down. It is time for them to be.

My favorite tools over the past few years have all been Dewalt tools. These are some of the things I own. I have used several taping knives in the past, but this is by far the best. I realize that selling to above $18 is a bit pricey, but I find that using better quality tools allows me to do a better job It would be nice to have more fun at work. Knives applied by this knife seem to apply compound smoothly and have just enough bend to feather corners and edges without creating sharp corners and edges. The tools are very useful and I'm quite pleased with them.
