I've worked in a variety of jobs over the years, and I've always relied on the Whizzi for small spaces. I recently used a Whizzi and had no trouble removing the cover. I purchased this model, as well as the Wooster roller covers, in order to paint some cabinet doors. The difficulty I had putting the new cover on was a foreshadowing of things to come. It was nearly impossible to remove the roller once I was finished with it. I've never had to remove a roller cover that took more than 20 minutes. What a load of nonsense. After using a multi-tool, I was finally able to remove it. Using the roller cleaning portion of the tool, try to "peel" the cover off like a carrot. I came on here to see if there were any instructions, and it stated that the cover could be released by whacking the roller against the edge of a bucket. I'll give this method a shot on my next project to see if it works, and I'll update this review if it does. ***UPDATE: ***UPDATE: ***UPDATE: ***UPDATE: ***UPDATE: ***UPDATE I followed the instructions for removing the roller again when I used it for the second time. I used a plastic grocery bag to wrap the roller end and slammed the roller body against a wooden work bench. The roller came out of the plastic bag after two good whacks and was ready to be thrown away. I gave it five stars because the removal was easier than I expected, and more importantly, this roller rolls against the surface rather than skimming across it. This is an excellent item.
This roller handle will work wonders when paired with the appropriate roller covers. As a painting contractor, I'm constantly looking for ways to improve my efficiency. br>br>Warning: The title of this item is "Wooster Brush RR013 Jumbo- 12-inch Koter Frame The term "inch" can be misleading, leading some people to believe that 12 inch roller covers are required. I believe they meant that the distance between the handle and the roller cage is 12 inches. Takes 4 1/2 inch and 6 1/2 inch roller covers. br>br>.
be aware.
It rolls easily and cleans up well; I was concerned that the ball bearings would become stuck with paint, but it appears to work for the first roll.
Make sure you're not slamming it against any hard surfaces. I was in a hurry, so my tip broke off. Instead, use your hand to push it on.
It's a good deal. It's easy to roll and gets up without a hitch. We've found it to be effective.
I'm relieved to have discovered more. On the market, there isn't a better little handle than this one.
Get the Wooster covers that are big and green.
