I use it to paint behind radiators and other small spaces where you either can't or don't want to move an object, such as the radiators in my house, or simply don't want to move it, such as my refrigerator. It's ideal for this application. The only thing that disappointed me was the handle's length. It was a lot shorter than I expected, but that's just my personal preference and a result of my failure to double-check the size.
This is a lovely small roller frame. It moves quickly and gracefully, which aids in the creation of smooth, steady strokes. Each revolution of the roller is smooth and even. The roller covers are simple to put on and take off. In addition. br>br> My hands don't hurt as much as they used to after using my old roller frames because the handle is ergonomically correct. br>br>I'll admit that I was "tricked" into buying it after ordering the corresponding 6" Purdy rollers only to find out that they don't work with standard mini-rollers. frames. What the hell is going on here? br>br>This is my first time dealing with Purdy, and I can see why they are slightly more expensive than Wooster or other brands. Materials and workmanship of high quality.
I'm a big fan of Purdy products, and this one was no exception. There is no clumping or lint in this product. it is lovely br>However, I'm not sure if it's the roller mechanism or the purdy roller brushes, but when I tried to remove the roller brush after use, every single one of the four I tried created an incredible suction. As in, I couldn't just pop it off with my thumbs like I usually do with my larger purdy rollers. You HAD to have a firm grip on it - HARD - Using only my hands (I tried both a piece of plastic and a terry cloth paint rag). br>Something is a tad too snug.
11 doors were rolled using this product. It worked beautifully, and I was able to apply even coats of paint without difficulty. Unlike some other mini brush rollers, this one does not skip or slide.
This accomplished what it set out to do. It's simple to hold and operate. It's not too heavy, so it's easy to hold, and the handle makes it easy to grip. I'd make another purchase.
The cost is quite high.
Purdy produces excellent products, and this roll cover frame in a smaller size is no exception. This is an excellent tool for painting wooden trim (such as doors and wainscoting) in small spaces. br>br>Because a "normal" 9" roller was too large to be practical, I used it to paint my entire main floor powder room. Even behind the toilet and under the sink, it'll fit with ease.
Quality and price are synonymous with a brand name.
