I spent years using standard drywall tools to scrape drywall mud out of 5 gallon plastic buckets. During the mud and taping process, he would often leave mud on the side of the bucket, which would dry out and harden, causing small gouges in the drywall mud. The curve of this scoop is identical to the curve in the bucket's side. So I don't just use it to get mud out of the bucket and into my pan; I also use it to push mud back into the mud "mass," add a little water to keep it moist, and pound the lid back on. The tool is ideal for the job, but it could be better. The blade is stainless, but the handle attachment is not. While I'm working, I keep the tool in the 5 gallon tub. it rusts. Why not make your own blade? as well as everything Are you talking about stainless steel?.
This was purchased solely for the purpose of cleaning the inside of my Weber kettle grill. It works great for cleaning the grime and grease off the inside of my Weber after a few minutes of sitting in Simple Green!.
Get yourself a copy! I'm not sure why Home Depot isn't carrying it.
If you're going to drywall and dig mud out of a bucket, this is the way to go. This is a tool that you absolutely must have. It makes things a lot easier.
This was the first item that came up when I searched Amazon for "paint bucket scrapper. " Although it appeared to be the item I was looking for, it was not. I can't complain too much because it was my fault for not reading the description. It turns out that there is no such thing as a bucket cleaning tool for removing dried paint.
Nice mud scoop, but the stiffener where the handle meets the blade, as well as the rivets, make cleaning it unnecessarily difficult (at least in my opinion). It's not difficult; it simply necessitates "special attention). ".
For cleaning my Weber grill, this is the ideal tool.
