The description of this item reads, "Accommodates mini- rollers with a diameter of up to 6 inches" The min- We find that rollers work well for us. This item has a newer version on the same page as this one. It's something you should keep an eye on. Best of luck!
It should be the roller cup. The xylene may dissolve the liner, which is made of a thin clear plastic. Herculiner is a term I'm not familiar with.

It's great for small jobs or touch-ups. ups. Sturdy and stable, with a low chance of tipping. When held in the other hand, it's a little awkward; best used on a flat surface. Four Handles inch rollers with plenty of room, but not 6-inch rollers inch. Even when using a small amount of paint, the well is deep and narrow, which helps keep the paint from losing fluidity and drying out too quickly. Because of the angle of the roller, it is possible to run on it. The ridges help knock off excess paint and distribute it evenly over the roller by allowing it to flow back into the well quickly. br>br>I wish it, like some others, had a secondary well for holding a brush, because I usually use a roller with a brush. There isn't enough room in the paint well to rest it on or over the tray, and there's no way to do so. Between coats, there is also no designed lid or cover. To cover, I use a damp rag. Another criticism is that the disposable inserts, while convenient, are simply overpriced for what they are. They could make a decent profit if they charged half the price. As a much cheaper alternative, you can line the tray with cellophane/plastic wrap, though it will be less "handy. ".
I enjoy painting indoor and outdoor murals for families who, like me, have incredible imaginations. Because of the slight ridges on the sides, tinfoil can be wrapped around the paint bin to allow for color changes. It's sturdy enough to keep it from tipping over when you set it down. It's very easy to clean as long as you don't leave it sitting for too long. After washing it with soap/water OR Mineral Spirits/Varnish Thinners, use 0000 Steel Wool to remove any remaining paint. This paint cup could benefit from more internal ridges to remove excess paint from mini rollers, so I reduced the rating by one star.
I feel like I'm doing a better job, making fewer messes, and it's much easier on my arthritic hands. A three-step utility step ladder is what I use. The main problem has always been that regular paint trays don't stay put on top of the ladder's shelf very well. The 6 inch roller will fit in this paint cup. It can be placed over the handle to keep it in place and prevent it from slipping off. It's a breeze to paint with. It's also a budget-friendly option. And that's all you'll ever require. 2nd place.
This was EXACTLY what I was looking for! I'm a middle-aged woman who is not in great shape. I can't afford to hire painters, and I don't want to turn my house inside out, but I also don't have the physical stamina to do it myself. I had just painted my kitchen with a mini-brush and this little thing was perfect. The roller was designed to fit perfectly in the handheld bucket, which also came with a matching liner. I just put a drop of paint in there at a time and let it dry. I was out of paint by the time I became tired! Wrap the roller in plastic to keep it from drying out, take a break, and then get back to work. It was fantastic - In one weekend, I painted the entire kitchen with very little mess!.
I like that I'm not wasting paint by using a standard large one. The plastic inserts are convenient because they can be discarded and there is no need to clean them. It is less likely to topple over and takes up less room. Because it is deep, you can fill it with as much or as little paint as you want. br>br>The liners are inexpensive and well worth the investment.

When painting, I prefer to use smaller rollers and brushes because they are easier to clean, but the trays for them have been disappointing. This is the most practical I've come across, and it's also the easiest to clean. The handle also serves as a pouring spout, allowing you to return any leftover paint to the can. br>br>Holding it with a lot of paint for long periods of time would probably be uncomfortable, but I usually set it down like a regular tray and it takes up less space.
This roller cup is far superior to trying to hold a regular paint tray on a ladder, but it still has some flaws: 1) Make sure you don't tilt the paint cup when cleaning up. If you don't keep the cup level, even a small amount of paint will spill out. 2) The cup's edges and handle have rough edges that make holding it for more than a few minutes painful. 3) The plastic isn't the kind that easily releases paint, which makes cleaning a pain. I was unsuccessful in my search for disposable cup liners.
ehh. It's ok. It has its own legs, which makes it more stable when standing alone. Because it has a shallow bucket, there is a higher chance of spilling and/or splashing. Finally, because there is no magnet or brush holder, a brush can slip or flip more easily. Having said that, I've had no major problems, and the price was reasonable! A larger bucket with a magnetic brush holder is still my preferred option.
