The answer is unknown. am not very confident in the accuracy of this device. There are different settings for various things but I haven't been able to get any luck. Having dried walnuts for about a year, I was wondering if I should share. It is stated on the meter that 9% of the wood has a moisture content. A database that, if correct, is ready for construction. Nevertheless, I took them to the mill to be planed, and the mill has used its professional meter and the slabs came out to be 15 percent thick. There are still many things I need to do before I am Unless it is kiln dried, any wood in this area (KY) will never reduce to 12% moisture. trust this meter if I want to use wood for woodworking and don't want the moisture content to be inaccurate.
Masonry can be cleaned with it. In contrast with pins that poke through, pins that do not poke through are stronger. In your definition of concrete walls, a block wall is what these meters would work well on. if you mean poured concrete, you need to realize that all concrete cracks and water percolates through the cracks if there are any. Concrete is pretty much impervious to water, however
I found my pin protectors fitting snugly but they could be removed easily with a slight twist. You should contact your supplier if you have never taken off the plastic protector. This may have been caused by the sharp pins being accidentally glued on.
The answer is yes. for use with a variety of wood types. On a scale, white oak is on the top and red oak on the bottom. In the case of testing other woods and you fail to find the exact scale, you can also choose to test another close wood scale, which provides a good result.

I am extremely happy with my unit. It is my intention to make wood furniture using dried birch logs. My confirmation was received within a few minutes. A multi-unit corporation pays 3% of its revenue From the sawmill up the street comes this hundred dollar gauge. I find this to be quite effective. A few small holes barely need to be drilled into the wood to get a good Green is a nice and bright color on the display. You won't find it harsh to look at. In particular, the unit's screw cap, which protects the pins, makes it difficult to pull off. The grip could be better but that shouldn't be a cause for concern. I don't regret my purchase in any way. The light and thin material we were looking for made this an excellent choice.
As far as I can tell, the device works properly Repeatable and accurate measurements appear to be made. I am only giving it four stars for these two product flaws, which others have also described Firstly, enter 1. I often have a hard time removing the cover from the device, and it's bordering on stupidity. Whenever I open it, my hands feel like they are going to break! As well as the cover, it comes with a "calibration board," but there is ZERO information as to how it is going to be utilized! This is what the entire discussion is in the user guide Measure pins on the calibration board and calibrate before having them used, the results will be more accurate. "
If I place the pins on it, I get 18% instead of the 5% claim. How likely is that to be true?.
Taking off the pin protection cap can be difficult. The cap was too tight to open with my fingernail. Despite that, it is not easy to open. As soon as I opened/closed it several times, it became much easier There were some dry wood pieces in the shop for which I wasn't able to get a reading on the I looked at the wood in several places. There is no way to tell if the problem is my fault or the meter's. Would you mind giving me some suggestions, Observations and suggestions Com and Tavool Moisture Meter Model MT1904) to assist in selecting proper calibration setting for wood choice. The electronic chart requires fewer steps than the paper chart. You should verify your measurements around your home or shop so that when you need to check the actual moisture content you can fall back on your past experiences.
Since it is so cheap and does what it says, I was skeptical at first about buying this moisture meter. It does everything that those twice as much do!! It is amazing! The units are identical in size and come with a calibration chip which allows you to calibrate the unit for absolute accuracy you can trust.
The instruction sheet gives an extensive breakdown of what each wood type belongs to and you'll be impressed by how thorough it is! I haven't been satisfied by any of the tools provided by Tavool, and this is the third one I've used. This product definitely fits the bill for its purpose, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a product like this. There will be no disappointment for you. Due to the fact that I received the information only two days ago, I cannot generate a longevity report yet. In the event that anything goes wrong, I'll post an update here. The rest of the story is Overall, I've been very pleased with the service!.
It was a pleasant surprise to see how easy it was to use the moisture meter. Normally I would have given it 5 out of 5 stars, but there are always ways to improve. We'd love to be able to rotate the display so that we don't have to read it upside down, but this is a very minor concern. It was extremely helpful to find out that the meter came with a large table of lumber it can be calibrated against. A drywall tester like this should be in every garage, just the fact that I can test drywall is an incredible benefit. My life couldn't be more perfect if I had this on hand. I won't use it everyday, but it will make me happy when I need.
The meter I bought was to get a good reading of the wood's moisture content since I do a lot of woodworking. The moisture level should be low before staining or sealing, and this product makes sure that is the case. The results of the test were within +/- 2mm when compared with my friend's Protimeter Surveymaster on several different pieces of wood A fifth percent. A bonus was that I was confidently able to identify moisture behind the drywall in the corner of my house where I suspected there was a leaky second story window above. It's official! This is a suspicion! So now I have to tear out my drywall and repair the leak but at least the damage won't be as bad as it was before. In my humble opinion, the review was written by my husband, I don't do woodworking or anything of the sort.
The moisture meter was so useful to me that I was able to choose the boards with the lowest moisture rather than From the moment I opened the box it was very easy to get started. The list of woods was very helpful and gave me many ideas on what settings to use. Easy to read and full of depth. With the screen being such a bright green you can read the LCD readouts in no time. Using a high end moisture meter borrowed from a friend, I was able to measure each type of wood with the same level of accuracy. Overall, I definitely recommend purchasing this meter and would do so again if I had the need.
As I do not have the means to dry wood except in the attic and wait for it to dry, I needed a meter to go with me when looking for slabs of wood. I wanted to make sure they were kiln dried or weathered and not freshly cut. It will fit nicely in the pocket since it is small.
A bright display and easy to use function keys will help you quickly get up and running. My only complaint would be that the cap was a little difficult to remove at first, but after it was removed it works just fine. I recommend this meter if you are looking for a handy meter to use while on the go.
