There is a wide variety to choose from. Pinless and pins are both used in some designs.
What do you mean by that question? Do you want to know if you can use this device to measure food moisture? You would need a food-grade device for testing the moisture in foods. This device does not have a setting for testing the moisture in foods.
The unit does not include a case. Using a craft knife, I chopped the edge of the plastic packaging and reused it as a tool storage container.
Selected User Reviews For General Tools MM8 Pinless LCD Moisture Meter with Tricolor Bar Graph, black/white
After a few years of daily use, my General Tools MMD7NP moisture meter started to get a little beat up, so I decided I would look for another moisture meter. As a replacement, I chose the General MM8 because of the price and the angled head, which made it more convenient In fact, quite the opposite is true. In addition to making reading the light more challenging, its angled head makes it double as hard to read as the flat MMD7NP. As far as walls are concerned, it worked fine. MM8 also has a rounded shape and cannot be used in as many places as We tried it out for a few weeks, and then it It took me a little over a year to put the battery in my old MMD7NP, but it is still going strong. In the end, I used the MM8 for something else because it was too bulky and was a bit hard to read.
You must be disappointed! There was no sign of wear or tear on the moisture detector, even the 9-year-old battery was brand new The sealed and wrapped battery had a voltage of 12 volts. I was a bit shocked when I saw scratches on the device, especially on the sensor surface when I unwrapped it. In addition, building materials, such as paint or a bathroom cocking, were also found on the device. I will provide photographs.
This moisture reader impressed me very much. Following a roof leak, I was looking for something to read wallboard and hard wood floors. As I moved around the affected area I was able to take pictures of the different readings as I held the meter. It was very helpful to identify the wettest areas with the color alert scale. The user interface is simple and easy to understand. With this flat-headed surface area meter, no pin holes needed to be made in the wallboard.
I like that we can find water leaks with this tool. There is really a benefit to this. A person can also find out if there is a high likelihood of black mold developing.
My only wish is that it could be set to pins. We have a pinless and a pin set.
I am surprised at how good it works for the price. As for how well it works for the price, I compared it with a $400 marine moisture meeting, and I think it is very similar.
Unlike the type with probes, it does not puncture the surface of the material to measure moisture levels.
The deal is great.
MOIST has always been a funny word to me, people that have a problem with it always make.
