Questions & Answers

Hello, how can I tell what the difference between size 1 and 5 is?

Basically it is just the physical size. I ordered size 1, which I use for measuring medical furniture that has adjustable angles. It is best to purchase the tool in size 1 or 5 based on the size of the product you are going to use it It appears that size 5 is a better fit for the building

How about a satellite dish aimed with this?

For me, that was the main use of the device. As an installer, I handled a lot of things.

Can you tell me the dial size?

There are three numbers on the dial It is 3/4" across the numbered area, and 4 1/4" from the edge of the circle surrounding the number, which is sufficient for reading, I haven't been able to see well recently, but it was large enough for me to read.

In the event that the angle indicator or the front of this device is facing the ground, can it still read angles on an object?

The red arrow always points upward as gravity pulls it up. In order for the arrow to point up, the face would have to be angled a bit.

2 degrees off from the true temperature
3/5

It was bought over a year ago, and I have used it once or twice. Even though I was continually wondering why some of my angles were a bit off, it did not matter. My Irwin spirit level is in better condition and has seen more use so when I had to use this in conjunction with my spirit level, I thought it was off. With the help of a try square, I confirmed that it was the Johnson angle finder that was off by about 2 degrees. This is only made worse by the fact that it is not adjustable. It would have been a good idea to check when I received it I guess Made in USA isn't what it used to be.

This is an accurate, readable, reliable document
5/5

The first thing I did was benchmark them against one another, and the results were identical. The ability to compare two sides simultaneously with chassis and suspension pieces is crucial when building them, and these pieces haven't disappointed me. As with any angle gauge, the larger the dial, the easier it is to read and the more accurate it is. I find these to be a good combination between readability and accessibility, as they will fit into most of the spaces I need to measure. The product is excellent and I would purchase it.

The product is suitable to be used in various construction tasks
4/5

I'm not too concerned about the quality of this plastic angle finder, it seems to be reasonably well built. holds it, even on thin metal like a fridge, and is glued to a flat plate that fits into a slot from the back, so, as long as the adhesive is sound, should not fall off when the angle finder is pulled off a metal surface. it was stuck to the needle. *The accuracy is within a 0. 1 degree range. The horizontal line must be within 5 degrees of the true horizontal line. After checking with a couple of levels, I found that the needle was about 0. 0. In a 25 to 0 ratio. A bubble on each level indicates a tilt of 5 degrees off horizontal. When you consider that the mounting / measuring surface of the angle finder measures only 4 inches, it's not too bad. The number five. When I checked some window ledges in the house, I found that the needle was at 0 degrees. This is what I use to measure the pinion angle on my car, and to adjust it accordingly. Thus, two angles will be compared to determine whether they are similar, and we should be able to use it perfectly. An angle of 90 degrees is this other measuring surface between the magnetic face and the V-shaped surface Pipes and rounds can be inserted in this groove. An angle finder cannot be held in place by a magnet on this side of the pipe. However, the illustration on the web page shows that there is a "Magnetic V-Grip" on the side. Describe the groove edge as follows The flat edge on this part is magnetic, but at the same time, it is magnetic. There is no doubt in the video that this is the case. This product is cheap and worth the price of just under $11 with tax. Do not throw it into the toolbox and expect it to last. It is a very delicate measuring instrument. When it comes to angles, a digital level of good quality will provide accurate results. AUGUST 2017 UPDATE Like others have noted, the magnet eventually fell out after a week or so. It ain't gonna move now that I epoxy'd it in!.

The best precision is produced in America
5/5

It is a quality protractor with a sturdy construction. Metric and imperial measurements are both accurate, as well as the square shape. As you can see from the photo, it is hard for me to hold my square with one hand because the ceramic magnet is so strong, but it is The complaints of broken products have more to do with the delivery carriers' rough handling and being crushed under an avalanche of other packages than the quality and precision of the product itself. I would definitely recommend this product as it is well made in the US and has a high quality control standard.

The angle finder works well, and there are no electronics to worry about
5/5

With its magnetic base, this is easy to store on each tool and is a useful tool for checking the angle on your table saw or miter saw. The gauge did stick to the face of the gauge at the beginning, but I was able to correct that problem. This is a great tool to have around the workshop for checking angles. It is easy to use, and you can get an accurate reading without having to look for electronics. After having tried an electronic gauge that failed, I went back to using The angle finding tool isn't a precision tool and so I wouldn't expect it to be dead on, but when you need an angle finder within half a degree of accuracy for cutting miters, etc. , this is the tool you need.

This bargain magnet protractor has the benefits of a more expensive unit at a lower price
5/5

I use it on my adjustable belt sander tables to set quick angles when necessary, thus saving my Central unit for clean environments. As good as any needle I have ever used, and I find it to settle a bit faster after moving compared to A game show called "Price is Right" This unit is of high quality.

No use made of it

In order to get the proper angle, I bought this to set on my solar panels. Our RV had solar panels on it, so we sold As of now, let me verify the auto level system in our RV via the microwave. I bought it for my solar system as well as an adornment for my wife's kitchen. I like it!

Works well! It is convenient to adjust your gear without holding the level, and it eliminates the need to hold the level at all times while adjusting. I would select it.

It is far superior to anything I have ever used before
4/5

The product itself is fantastic in terms of quality. The pros are This is tough! The iPad has been dropped multiple times on concrete and metal surfaces, and it has not completely broken. After a particularly hard drop, the glass cracked (as it did in this case). Accurate and up to date Angles can be read out manually or mechanically, which is unsurpassed. Grass is the strongest force in the universe. The price is affordable There is no better way to get a great product at an affordable price than this one, made in the USA. The cons are It can be a bit tricky to find a quick reading at an odd angle with the dial. It would be better if the readings were less detailed and the font was larger. There is a magnet installed on one end of the housing, but it is not flush or recessed, and it sits a hair outside the edge, so depending on the application it may not actually sit flat on the Taking everything into consideration, this is the best angle finder or level you can get.
