In essence, this is a vernier caliper, just not one that is high-precision. it is typical for a "real" (metal, expensive) tool to have an adjustment knob, this one has a plastic one. The fact that I knew this before I purchased it was no problem. The only thing I wanted was There's an accuracy of at least 1 mm, and this at least delivers that. The caliper is simple enough to be used for around the house or around the workshop. You will not have to spend a lot of money on this A precision of 0. It is the smallest tool available (0. 00001). My choice of this model was based on the fact that I need to measure watch parts, and that I was looking for something that would not scratch the
I recommend this at this price point since it meets my needs to a very high degree. It is great for what I need, and it is at a great price.
A casual caliper like this is perfect for everyday course, it is not a precision caliper for measurements to a thousandth of an inch. Although 001 may not be correct for everything, a lot of things can be done with a 001. My garage, shed, and car are stocked with plastic calipers that I use in the garage, on trips to Home Depot, and for those jobs around the house. I find these to be very useful, and the price is very reasonable. Don't fall for the cheaper models made in China that sell for five dollars each. Junk like that is not good. The one I have here is made in Canada and is very.
There will be no replacement for marathon. A margin of around 1mm separates the zero point from the true zero. The exercise is not worth the money I spent on it. I guess it was at least not a lot of money. In some regards, I have other cheaper calipers that do a better job of.
The set of calipers I bought was very simple, yet extremely effective. I bought them for measuring a few watch crystals I needed Having experienced using these around the house, I am aware of what a powerful tool they are.
For the first one I got, I needed to open it about 1mm in order to zero it. A soft package was used to ship it and it got bent in transit. The item was sent back to me. It was also sent in a soft package, but wasn't damaged. I got the replacement very quickly. I tested it out and noticed that the metric and standard measurements do not coincide. Not so.
On this scale the scale will extend to 7" but it will only measure five inches About 15/16" tall. In my opinion, there are cheaper callipers out there that perform just as well. The impression is not good.
I liked that we could use metric measurements on the same handheld device as we used for.
When it comes to non-critical measures, they work.
