Besides being made, this is weatherproof as well! There are summer months when it gets extremely foggy where I live, especially during the summer. In the past, my porch lights lasted for a couple of years at most. This lamp seems to be made well. Besides the rubber coating on the outside hardware and rubber washers that provide a decent seal around the bolts, the outside hardware is also equipped with rubber washers. There is only one downside in that it seems a little flimsy compared to the old bracket assembly In addition to that, the clear glass panels and thin framing allow plenty of light to filter in. A motion-activated LED bulb with a dusk/dawn sensor that works well with this model has been added.
