The Phillips hue has been on the market quite some time. It was a risk I was willing to take. In the first place, the mounting hardware does NOT come with this light. Due to the fact that I was mounting this device on concrete, I had to take the device to the nearest hardware store and buy tapcon screws. It is best to take the light to the hardware store and have it examined by someone who knows what tools are required. In addition to the drill and drill bit, you will need a Phillips screw driver, 16 gauge wire connectors, clear water-resistant silicone, tapcon screws (I mounted on concrete), and a drill bit (I used a concrete drill bit). In other words, it's leveling. This may seem to be a lot, but believe me, it's worth it. This is not the case. You can cap off the end of the wire with connectors. After you have removed the LED portion from the PCB, you will need to reinstall the 4 screws from that section. Don't screw them on too tightly. This is the case at the present time. Turn the light on to be sure it is I would like to find out if that is the case. The rest of the process is fine. Check your wiring and make sure you have wire connectors in place if you do not. Finally, you have completed the task! On the LED light, screw the top and bottom screws with the Phillips head screwdriver and then place the glass faceplate cover. In order to get rid of any silicone residue, I used a small piece of card board and went all the way around the light to remove it. After the finish, you'll see a nice result! There are pictures included. Once you have attached your light, you can use it! The app will connect you to the light and give you fun ways to play with it. It'll be neat seeing a light show at Christmas time. Yeah, I'm sure the neighbors will enjoy it. You can turn on the outside light by telling Alexa. Then I shall do what you ask (Yes master)- It's a great voice for Alexa lol I love it

Basically I bought 6 of these lights to replace all my exterior lights, and I am very pleased with them (as I expected from Hue)! is approximately 10 inches wide and 10 inches high. The length and width of this model are 5 inches, and the thickness is about 3 inches. Similarly, both are made of glass and metal, with the lone piece of plastic on the units being the LED light portion. It is wonderful to have such a good feeling! Take advantage of this deal (or six of them) today!.

It has a very good build quality and extremely bright lights. The look fantastic when they are worn and when they are Our house looks so much more modern with these. Note that there is no installation hardware included in the package. There is no other way to describe it. The light brings it to you. As long as you are able to use your existing hardware and wire nuts to mount these, you will no longer have to purchase a new box. Nevertheless, most people will need to purchase something extra to install these, so take that into consideration. I have provided pictures of the LED panel inside. Several people have complained that they let in water or bugs. Though the final step explicitly says to seal it with caulking, some people have still complained. Despite living in a humid state with lots of bugs, I have had no problems with them. I sealed them with silicone caulk around the edges. Clearly Philips has a loyal fanbase so, show them some respect and include Despite the mounting plate not aligning to the electrical box, installation wasn't too difficult. However, I had to drill four new holes to accommodate mounting. I think it took another 10 minutes or so to complete the installers' work after the holes were made. Sealing it fully around where the fixture meets the wall, not just around the fixture glass, was my strategy. As I live in South Florida, a region with a lot of bugs all year, I am worried about catching bugs. In this case, there are four open holes along the aluminum frame, two on the left side near the front and two on the right side nearby. Since I can clearly see into the fixture, bugs will definitely be able to get inside. Philips Hue has been emailed and asked if they can be covered up since they might be there to let heat There is no answer to that question. As a temporary measure, I have covered each of the holes with a small piece of electrical tape.
