The product was good for me when I tried it. It is configured to light up for 30 seconds upon detection of someone passing, then shut off. A person passing by stays in mode 3 and does not brighten it when a light comes on.

Unless the solar panel has been removed, you cannot adjust the lights. If you put the bracket to secure it in place, it will stay put.
Three modes are available. You can turn on the dim mode at night, which can keep a faint light all night, and a brighter light when it detects movement.

I know that this is not the typical way to use this product, but I love it! It's perfect for lighting up our space when we're camping in the wild, where most lights just wouldn't work. I'm impressed by how well the motion sensor detects movement and how bright the lights are! As it's a solar charger, I can set it out in the sun to charge, and the flexible lights can be positioned as needed!.
However, I received it very quickly after I ordered it, and Amazon logistics were very fast. I installed it on our deck, and she didn't lose it! It exceeded our expectations and is a great item that I would recommend. After a few rains, the sconces are still working and have completely quenched our fears.
