Here are a few things to keep in mind if you're considering buying it *NB* The spec sheet in the transformer's door states that the transformer can be fully loaded (100%/300 watts), but the Amazon description warns only to load up to 70%/210 watts. In either case, LED lighting will provide enough light for small to medium landscape designs. I am not sure what documents my transformer came with. There was something that was overlooked that should be brought to the reader's attention. There is no doubt that I like the choice of having the photocell jumper with the knockout directly next to it. Installing it is easy because it is on the right side. In my case, I've opted for a smart outlet that is paired with my smart hub, so that I can fine tune times, but the photocell option is an easy addition that I totally use. I also noticed that the voltage was lower than stated on three of the terminals when my voltmeter was on the terminals. The readings I got were 12V, 12V, 13V, and 14V. There was a fluke T6 in my system I found that my particular unit is set automatically to range from 1000 to the nearest full value, but just so you know what I found. There is a big question to be answered Is it possible to turn on my lights with it? Yes, it is. There is no problem with it. I use it to transform voltage and distribute power so that my lights work. The unit is a good buy in general.
To keep the water out, I placed a Styrofoam box over the top (which looks strange and is not attractive). Although this fix worked for me, I would have thought the box should have come with a gasket or rubber seal that would keep it tightly closed and prevent water from entering the box.
Simple to set and built like a tank, this landscaping timer works perfectly for landscape maintenance. This is exactly what I was looking for to replace an 18-inch The year is I have an old-timer in my front yard. This unit is expected to perform well for a long time. The timer is supplied without any printed instructions, as observed by others. They're both pretty simple, but connecting and programming them isn't as difficult as it seems. It might be better if you leave instructions to your landscaper if you need them for a product like this.
Timers and transformers of this type. This stainless steel case is very impressive! The mechanical timer is extremely upscale since it comes with a 24 hour clock (military time) and 360 pins for setting so many things at once We have no choice but to choose. It does not include any instructions! You have to think about it to figure this one It's a five-star experience every step of the way.
I recently installed landscape lighting with it and I am very satisfied. An installation of 9 fence post lights along a 100' run showed a voltage drop of about half a volt, and there is no visible difference in the illumination of the lights. In the test I ran a tee with four lights on one side and five on the other side. A 12/2 wire was used. Also, I used another tap to power 7 pathway lights, to the same successful result. For the price, it seems to be a very well made product.
It stinks that you have to use a screwdriver to access it, but we knew this going into the purchase. I am happy with how the performance went!.
At the beginning of my trial run, I had no luck using the timer. Nowhere in the instructions does it say you need to plug it in for a while to charge it before it works after doing so. Using the internal battery to recharge it. Now it works as it should.
