Yes, it will work, but I suggest you be careful so as not to get injured when the shock comes. A few years ago, I accidentally shocked my finger with one of mine, and it was very painful. Even though the shock was only 1500 volts, I can't imagine how painful it would be to be hit with the full 15000 volts it is capable of.

The Tesla coil I bought it for required this. Upon receipt, it comes with a GFCI, which must be removed before wiring the two end transformers to the tap located in the center. An observation about the unit that I liked was that it worked well even when I regulated the output with a variable voltage input. The manual comes with two separate pages of instructions (in small print on both sides) on how to do things such as install the device and troubleshoot it. I sincerely apologize- All in all, I am very happy with the transformer and I look forward to working with it for years.
