You will need a T connector, lamp, stake, and extension cable if you purchase multiple extensions. This is important There is a power supply only in the 3 pack. Why people are giving it one star when they made the mistake is beyond me. The design and functionality of these are incredible, even though they are very pricey. In less than 30 minutes, we installed the power unit and five lights (3 pack plus 2 extension lights). It was fairly straightforward to connect to the hub, but it is important to note that you do need a Hue hub in order to use this application, as the package does not include one. If you wish to put the lights in dirt, they come with stakes that will hold them in place, a post that you can screw to a fence or deck, and an extension post that will allow you to raise the lights higher. There is much to like about this It is a highly-crafted product with no cheap parts. For the holidays, I definitely want to light up the house in different colors, and I plan to have the light in the house turn on at dusk and off at dawn based on an automated system. Please take a look at a couple of items so you can get an idea how this will work for you. An extension cord a few feet long connects the powerbase to your laptop or other device. Two sets of these lights recently arrived in the mail. The bulbs are super easy to set up. They work well with the hue app as well. Its biggest flaw is that it does not seem to be very bright. The space we have in the backyard is fairly open and there are various landscaping features. I couldn't light up the area effectively. It's good for the whites, but you can't see the colors very well. They are not using these bulbs in the photos on other reviews, but I am not sure what other reviews show. It would be better to wait for a stronger bulb. The quality does not seem to be great for the price.
