It'll connect track lights to the Romex type wiring inside the wiremold just fine, but this connector is designed to connect knockout ports to conduit. Unless you can live with exposed Romex (which isn't a big deal indoors at ceiling level for most of us), finding a wiremold/conduit adapter would be the best option.

the track length. the holes in your ceiling box where you'll be able to mount things Fit and functioned perfectly, but keep in mind. You won't be happy if the lamp mounting holes in the electrical box you plan to use are not in the same direction as the track you want to run. For that reason, I made a special plate for one of these. It was the fault of the electrician who roughed in our house, not the items. If you're taking the place of someone who isn't Before you continue, check the orientation of those screws in the track fixture.
In my case, I'm looking to replace some old tracks. This part had to match the track bar in order for it to be powered by the existing wiring in a 1965 house. As a result, it performs admirably and has a pleasing appearance. Because I didn't have to support the weight of the entire track as I wired the power unit, I was able to complete the installation while standing on a ladder. I followed the track unit's instructions, which included a wiring diagram.
It performs as expected, but it has one flaw: A standard 14awg ground screw cannot be used with the ground screw. To make your grounding wire fit, you'll need to use a spade or an oring. Once you've done that, putting it together is a breeze. Use a one-sided conduit nipple with a 1/2 thread on one side if you need to assemble flush with a junction box; I did 9 of these in series this way.
but there's no such thing as a "guide"? If you're an electrician, you won't find this unit particularly challenging. You'll be able to tell what metals are which by their color coding. But if you aren't, there isn't anything here to help you. There isn't even a brief explanation of how to wire-wrap for the best possible connection. For that reason, I'm giving it one star less. Aside from that, it's solid and straightforward.
There are no brackets or covers included in the package. I returned it, along with all other connectors, as a result of this. I just purchased a cheaper one from Lowes, and the finish appears to be identical.
It's difficult to fit 14awg into this small shell - You must cut and strip the material to precise lengths, then bend it sharply at the exit. There is no clamp on the gree ground screw. For it to work, I added a washer.
This is the first time I've used it; I'll update it once it's installed. br>br>However, I'm attaching this photo as a reference in case anyone else is having trouble figuring out which angle bracket to buy to match the WAC live end connector. A RIGHT L connector is shown in the illustration. br>br>I made a mistake and purchased the incorrect item. I'm doing a new installation, so it'll work, but it's not my preferred method of power supply.
None of the required components, including the light, are in proper contact with the track. We anticipate receiving a complete refund. br>.
