Silicone is my guess. I'm not sure about the temperature, but if it's silicone (it looks and feels like it), it'll be hot.
If I come across as a little a-hole, please accept my apologies. hole- ish, but it's just a piece of wire. The wires are oblivious to their own color. So, if you have RGBW but need GRBW, look at how the colors are aligned rather than the colors themselves. Using the RGBW color scheme As long as there are no wire crossings, the aligned wire on a GRBW will be the same on both ends. I understand why someone would want to make sure the colors are all in the same place. By all means, cross the G, I suppose. But what's the point of going to such lengths?
Not if the lights draw any kind of current. I have rock lights on a rock crawler, and they're just on 18 gauge wire hot and ground, which is connected to the chassis.
You cut the wires in a uniform manner. A latch on the connector must be opened (a small screwdriver will suffice). Close the latch after placing the wires over the blades within the connector. The blades will imbed into the wires and make the connection as a result of the latch.

The connectors cannot be attached to the wire unless they are soldered on. Why would you sell a wire and connectors kit that doesn't work?.
This is a large gun safe that we wheeled in on a dolly. I patched the STATA power cable with this wire to make it 6 feet long, and now if I get broken into, my security camera videos are locked up. I'm not sure what the white items are for. They appear to be connectors, but why would anyone want to use them? br>If you have a similar need, the wire is simple to work with and small enough for what I did.
It's just wire, but it gets the job done. My only criticism is that it is referred to as RGBW when it is actually GRBW; Because the red and green are inverted, the LED strips' color order is off. I can either swap the colors in each connector, which is a pain, or I can pretend to be color blind and live with it, or I can use it for another project where the color order isn't important. Because of the misleading name, I gave it a lower rating. GRBW is a better name for you to use.
I had assumed that the connectors would be LED STRIP to WIRE connectors, but they are LED STRIP to LED STRIP connectors (as many others have noted). The connectors provided will NOT allow you to connect the wire you receive to the end of an LED strip light. For my 10mm LED strips, I ended up buying these: You'll need different connectors if you're using 12mm strip lights.
The wire itself is excellent, which is why I purchased this item; however, the listing contains an error in that the width 10mm/12mm of wire and connectors is not included. Connectors do not line up with wire, as others have stated, and depending on the width of your led strip lights, this may or may not be the case. To summarize, good wire (10mm) and bad connectors (12mm) or the other way around. Please include the size in the entire description or in the specifications, whichever comes first.
Is this for real? The RGBW strips were not in the same order as the colored wires. The red and green wires were switched back and forth. If you use 12mm pressured connector clips and ignore the color of each wire, it's not a big deal. br>However, if the wires are separated to connect to RGBW dimmers, it causes some confusion. br>Such a disparity is absurd, as I'm sure there is a standard in the industry.
This was used to connect new cables from the stepper drivers to the motors on my 3D printer. It performs admirably and has caused no problems. Get some proper JST connectors instead of the ones that came with it.
