Questions & Answers

Is it true that these tubes are designed to operate at 120 volts? What's the deal with the voltage range/design not being stated clearly?

These LED tubes, which are designed to operate at voltages ranging from 85 to 277 volts, must have built-in voltage regulators. br>I bought a total of eight of them. They have a 120 volt a/c connection. They've met my expectations completely. They give off a lot more light than the fluorescent tubes they replaced.

Is it possible for me to order 16 frosted cookies?

Sorry, but we only have 25 frosted packs right now.

What's the deal with the size difference - What's the difference between 4 and 12? How do I know which one to get to replace the ones I have now?

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. If you're talking about the Tombstones (which hold the light's ends), this refers to the Pins that correspond to each tombstone. It could be a single pin, a double pin, or something else entirely. br>Once again, I'm curious as to what the numbers 4, 12, and 25 refer to.

We received our lights, installed them, and one full bulb and half of another failed to light. What are our options for replacing those?

If you send an email to the store where you purchased them, they will usually take good care of you.

There was a slight shipping issue, but these are VERY bright! The first (of four) boxes that arrived appeared to be in good condition
5/5

It's a sturdy square cardboard shipping tube, but it appears to have taken a fall on one end, pushing all of the contacts back into the tube and rendering them useless. Amazon accepted them without hesitation, and the dealer was quick to respond. I had them replaced, and the box did have some flex damage this time, so I took a video and proceeded to use them. Although one was slightly damaged, they all functioned properly. And this shipment came with thimbles on the end to protect the contacts, so I'm not sure why the other didn't. br>br>I'm replacing flourescents in a basement with low ceilings, and while these are bright, I wanted the directional nature of the dual row LEDs. So these are fantastic because I can direct one tube to each side of the room and cover a much larger area. Only one row of fixtures is lit, so I can go almost anywhere in the basement. When I turn on both rows of fixtures, I'm sure my neighbors assume I'm using them as grow lights for a side hobby: )br>br>Easy to install; simply remove the ballast and wire the ends directly; simple switch over; bright. I ordered some clips for middle support; it hasn't been an issue thus far, but I believe it is the best option in the long run.

It was very simple to set up
5/5

It's simple to install these. The instructions were as detailed as they needed to be because all you had to do was turn off the power, cut the wires to the ballast, and connect the wire (wires in my case because I have two tubes in one fixture) to the black on one end and the white on the other; it didn't seem to matter which end was hot or neutral. The fixture's ground is simply screwed to the fixture's metal. I also didn't worry about which wire from each tombstone I used (there were two protruding, and I simply capped the one that wasn't used on each). I used the wire nuts that were already on hand, but they should probably be replaced. Even at a snail's pace, it took about 15 minutes from start to finish, which is significantly less time than installing new fixtures. The light output is significantly higher than that of the fluorescent bulbs they replaced. br>br>The only minor flaw I could see was that due to the 8ft span, they might droop slightly. If there aren't enough clearances, you might have to support the tube in the middle. My fixture, for example, is very low, and there is a cupboard door that clears the old tubes by about a quarter inch. One of these bowed down slightly, brushing against one of the tubes. I don't think they get hot enough to warrant not wearing a tie wrap to keep them straight. I didn't because it wasn't important enough to be concerned about. Over such a long distance, glass is far more rigid than plastic. I love how they entered the room and how it now appears.

It's fantastic! My mother's fluorescent lights were replaced with LEDs after we fazed them out
5/5

There are still a lot of 8-footers to finish. We're doing a little each month to save money, so there are a few 4 ft ones. If you know what you're doing, it won't take long to set up. It's simple enough that even a novice can wire their fixture to work with these light bulbs with a little guidance. br>br>In order for the new bulbs to work, two light fixtures had to be replaced with new connectors. Aside from that, it was a straightforward task. We were able to complete the installation in just a few hours. br>br>I will be purchasing more of these in the coming months to complete the replacement of the other bulbs in my mother's shop.

Yellow Lines are cast by 8' LED Bulbs
3/5

1/1/21 Post: These 8' 45 Watt 5000K T8 LED bulbs cast yellow lines of light, as shown in the attached photos. I bought a 25-pack of bulbs, and all but three of them are producing yellow lines. br>I noticed yellow lines on a white door that led out of my store. Because the yellow lines are more visible in person than in the photo, I used a white sheet of paper. As I moved the paper to the right, you can see where the yellow line passes through the coffee stain. br>I'm not sure what's causing the yellow lines, and a search on the internet yielded nothing. br>I had previously purchased 4 – 8' LED bulbs (65 Watt x 6000K) from the same manufacturer. Those four bulbs have been working perfectly for the past eight months and show no signs of yellowing.
1- Update 21: br>The producer was fantastic - and has been extremely helpful in resolving the issue with me. They sent replacement bulbs that were far superior. They continue to spit out yellow lines - However, against a white sheet of paper held 3' from the bulbs, these are extremely faint. When the paper is held at a distance of 6 feet from the bulbs, the yellow lines are not visible. When I told the manufacturer about it, they said it was the first time they'd ever had a problem like this, and they offered a full refund. br>Because my ceiling is 8' high, I don't use these bulbs above my painting/staining workbench, but they're more than adequate for the rest of my workshop - Furthermore, the manufacturer's level of customer service is excellent.

It's extremely bright
5/5

It took about 5 minutes to install, and it's extremely bright. Because these require support in the center, I placed some 12 gauge copper wire under the fixture and wrapped it around the bulb, as many others have suggested.

You will not be disappointed if you purchase this book
5/5

I had some reservations about the wiring at first. You must bypass your old ballast; once you have done so, you will find it very simple; I was able to completely bypass and rewire a fixture in less than 5 minutes. After that, it's just a matter of plugging in the new lights! I was blown away by how much of a difference it made in my garage. It must be bright because I paint a lot in the garage. These lights did not fall short of my expectations. They appear to be of high quality, and the color of the light was just right, not too blue or yellow. I'd also like to point out how much energy will be saved by using led lighting! These lights have exceeded my expectations, and I plan to purchase them again. It comes highly recommended.

At first, I was overjoyed, but now I am not so sure
3/5

I was initially very pleased with these, and when I notified them that several of the leds in one of the lamps had failed, they offered me $20. Granted, that's roughly how much it cost me, but I'd have to buy four more. They don't sell one at a time. I refused because I was looking for a replacement. That same bulb is now half-burned out. I asked for a replacement in a message to them. This time it's just dead air.
