Yes, it does have a silcon-like coating; all you have to do now is keep the power supply and remote control dry. It works fine in my camper.
Each cord, I believe, is 16 feet long.
That's exactly what it did. Just make sure the pins go in the direction of the arrow.

I wanted to add lighting to the tops and bottoms of my new cabinets. I tied a key to a string and tossed it down the dead space between the cabs, then tied the cable's end to the string to route it to the bottom. We have a smart plug on top of the cabinet, so I plugged the string in there first, then ran my lights over and under it. It went off without a hitch, and now my kitchen is lit to perfection thanks to Alexa.
I was disconnecting and reconnecting this extension as I maneuvered and secured wires while installing lights for a built-in bookshelf. I realized after the fourth or fifth time that the pins didn't stay in the ports very well, and that their connection was entirely dependent on positioning. I'm guessing the prongs that press against the pins are permanently warped.
These were purchased to extend some LED strips that I had purchased, and while they fit the connectors, they were a little loose. They work fine if you plug them in horizontally on a surface; however, because I have mine hanging vertically from a light strip, I had to tape the ends together to keep them from falling under the tension of the small power box to which they're connected. For the price, it's not too bad.
That was with only two strips connected, so if it wasn't a power issue, then the Chinese lights are to blame, but these connectors are still a waste of money.
I went ahead and purchased the 65. 6 ft. Alexa-enabled wifi led light strip with music, app, and Alexa voice. Two 32-foot light strips connect to two female connectors pigtailed off the main cord, and two one-meter extensions were purchased separately so I didn't have to run the lights up the wall. Locate an outlet in a secluded corner and run the wiring up the wall, using the included clips to secure the wire to the wall every few feet. I used wet wipes to wipe the top edge of the wall near the ceiling, then began each strip in the same corner, going in opposite directions. I slowly peeled the paper away from the adhesive strip, a foot or so at a time, and pressed it firmly against the wall. Thankfully, the strips came together at a point where I could cut one of the strips on a cut line (though more frequent cut lines would have been preferable). I used the Tuya app to pair it with Alexa (I couldn't get the smart life app to work). My daughter adores it, and she can control it using the remote, the app, or Alexa, and it blinks and changes color in response to music. It's been up for a week and there have been no problems.
Don't make a purchase. These are ineffective. I was extending two strips, but I could never get the color right with these extensions. When I pressed the "red" button on the remote, one of the strips turned red, while the other turned green. It did the same thing when I tried to diagnose it by switching the cables and connectors. The colors would be perfect if I removed these cheap extensions, and I'd like to return them, but Amazon doesn't allow returns at this time. Oh well.
So far, everything has gone according to plan. It's been two weeks since I got this installed. This is the connector you'll need to connect your LEDs to your WIFI module. I don't see any difference between using a connection cable or connecting directly to the module. The color, as well as the way it is used and controlled, are identical. Pay close attention to how the connectors are connected. So far, everything has gone well, and I would recommend this to others. The photo was taken before I installed the cable inside the wall (in accordance with city regulations). Ensure that you make the necessary changes in order to code).
These are far superior to other available options; simply plug them in and start using them. My only complaint is that I seem to lose some power between my two light strips when using these long cables; the section of light connected directly to the controller is brighter than the lights after this connector. But, as I previously stated, these work far better than the other option. I'm going to purchase a larger power supply to see if that solves the problem, as I believe the one that came with my lights was inadequate to begin with.
