Unless they're permanently sealed together, I don't believe they're fully waterproof. If they get a little damp, they should be fine. I use them to make power connections between G Scale locomotives, which I run outside in all kinds of weather! I've never had any water or snow problems.

A metal "blade" is crimped to the end of each wire, and a small "barb" is all that holds it in the plastic connector. By depressing the barn and releasing it from the connector with a paperclip or safety pin, you can remove the wire and the metal blade. For example, depending on what you're connecting to, you could swap the red and black wires. br>br>If you wanted to replace the wire itself, it appears that you'd need extra tools/parts to crimp a new blade before reinstalling the connector.

They make good solid connections, just as they described, and there are no issues.
Another vendor had the same product, but it was properly wired. I'm not sure if this was just a bad batch, but if it was, there was no quality control in place to sort through the trash. Very let down.
I use them on my model railorad because they are simple to use.
It was of excellent quality and exactly what I required.
