IF YOU ARE ABLE AND WILLING TO DO SOME SOLDERING, THEY SHOULD WORK JUST FINE FOR A PC FAN CONNECTION. AS FOR YOUR QUESTION ABOUT WHETHER THE FAN WILL PLUG INTO THESE, YOU WILL NOT KNOW UNTIL YOU TRY IT.
To remove the plug, press the small metal pin on the underside. Each wire should have its own pin, which you should pull out. To make the two plug ins into a single wire, I usually solder two wires together.

Because they are pre-wired, these connectors are extremely simple to use. This set comes with a large number of connector pairs, so it's a good deal. I'm supposed to say "weatherproof," but I haven't exposed the connectors to the elements yet. Without the added sleeves, I'm not sure the connectors would be weatherproof. In any case, these connectors are ideal for connecting a battery pack (3 x 18650s) to an induction heater that I built from the ground up. It allows for the removal of the battery pack without the need to unsolder wires for servicing. They're tiny and difficult for me to connect and disconnect, but that's not the issue: Manual dexterity is a problem for me. This is actually a benefit because you can count on the connection to be completely reliable. RECOMMENDED br>br>.
For the past few decades, I've worked as an electronics technician. Despite the fact that I should have known better, these received rave reviews. These connectors were used to construct a 3D printer. So, allow me to pose a question to you. Is the gear you're going to use this time moveable? If you answered yes, this kit is not for you. There is no conductor in the wires, only insulation. What's inside the insulation is barely wire, and if it's flexed even slightly, it'll snap in no time. I've already replaced six of these in my printer, which is only a month old. Purchase a more suitable product.

It appears to be thinner than 22 gauge, and it should be at least 20 gauge. Plus, while the plastic connector is sturdy, the fit is so tight that pulling the two halves apart with the thin wire risks breaking it.
For my project, I tried a lot of JST 2 conductor connectors, but I needed at least 13 cm, so that ruled out a lot of them. I tried a few different brands and found that many of them were quite flaky: The contacts had a bad track record. In every case, this one has proven to be extremely reliable. I've bought it several times because it's the only one I use now.
They're inexpensive to purchase and come in handy for low-voltage wiring.
These appear to be of good quality and work well. They aren't waterproof, but they don't appear to be advertised as such.
