I'm not sure what the physical diameter of the wire is, but the resistance is what matters to me. I'm a size four. Total resistance of the entire thing is 3 ohms, measured from one end with the other end shorted (current flows down one leg and up the other). ) I measured it while it was still on the provided reel, so I didn't unroll it to see if it was the right length. Because this is a 20-meter two-conductor wire, the resistance should be the same as a 40-meter single-conductor wire. The diameter of 22 gauge wire is 0. With a resistance of 053 ohms/m, a distance of 40 meters would be measured as 2. 1 ohms. This wire has the resistance you'd expect from 25 gauge pure copper wire, and it's a fine wire for the price; just keep that in mind.

I bought it for under cabinet lighting wire extensions, lipo battery connector extensions, and a charging station I'm building, and it looks, feels, and works great. br>br>The silicone insulation adds a nice touch and allows for a lot of wire flexibility while also providing excellent electrical isolation. br>br>I would strongly advise this for any DIY or hobby project. br>br>Always remember to specify your cable gauge for amps, volts, and temperature. The product appears to be in good condition. Because I haven't tried soldering it yet, I can't comment on how it will behave. On each of the red and black wires, I counted 17 strands, but I didn't measure the cross-section. To see if this is a proper 22 AWG cable, look at the sectional area. Because Chinese cables and wires are notorious for having incorrect specifications, government authorities frequently order seasonal lighting to be recalled because the wires are not the proper gauge, do not dissipate heat properly, and thus pose a fire hazard. This is NOT NECESSARILY the case with this product, but China-related products should always be avoided. cables/wires that have been made I'm not concerned because I'll use this product in low-voltage applications and will add inline fuses to prevent the cable from melting. Unlike the picture on the listing, the product I received came on a spool, which I believe is preferable to a loose roll that can become tangled.
Don't be fooled by the silver tinning; the strands are silver on the outside, but the inner core of each strand is oxygen-free copper. Excellent seller; satisfied with the transaction.
It was very cheap and likely will not last long. br>I'm going to use it outside, and I'm not expecting it to be rated for that. The colors faded quickly, and I expect the wire insulation to fail within a year or two as a result of UV damage. This is what I'm using to connect a 12V battery solar system (fused and with a voltage regulator circuit) to some LED strings in my garden. With 12W of power, one Amp should be able to pass through that wire without issue.
This wire was used to light up an LED tape cabinet. Because of the wire's gauge, it can be hidden in cracks and other crevices around cabinets. With connectors and a little soldering, it worked out well. For a long run, it's too small a gauge, and it could cause flickering. For runs of 20 feet or more, you can double the run or use a thicker gauge. 40 feet.
But now that they've joined, I'm glad they did because it's made everything a lot easier. Also, I have a hard time correctly stripping wires, but these were a breeze, and the plastic slides came right off. Also, I'm terrible at using heat shrink and accidentally got my lighter stuck in the wire; it didn't burn nearly as badly as it should have and I didn't have to rewire it. I guess it didn't do much harm. It usually eats through wires, forcing me to rewire, so it's tough and won't burn easily. I've never had a wire like this before.
