The cut section will require connectors.
There are six-inch versions, I believe. 5050 rgb 6in extensions are a good place to start.
Any four-wire LED strip will work.
The ditrio Kit will not be able to use these. To work with these, it appears that the ditrio Kit will have to be modified. Each one is about a foot long.

1 foot of cable I put all ten to the test, and nine out of ten were successful. I only needed four of them. A failure isn't a huge loss when you consider the price. These were purchased as part of a PC upgrade that included a new motherboard, processor, hard drive, water cooler, and memory. The previous set-up did not include RGB lighting. A total of four RGB connectors are included on this motherboard. With the RGB lighting, it looks fantastic. The 1 foot cables were required to extend the light strip's capabilities. This set of wires was perfect for the job. They were a little loose, so I taped the ends together with black electrical tape. It gives the impression of being more organized. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. Any PC modder should check it out.
Although the connectors do not stay on the standard RGB 4 pole connectors and extensions, the quality is acceptable for a China-made product. This is extremely inconvenient and necessitates the use of a mod.
These were purchased to extend my 12V RGB headers from inside the computer to outside the back of the case (so that I could plug longer ones outside in case I needed to unplug them). That is what they do. They've also not disintegrated on their own. If they did, a piece of electrical tape would suffice. Pictures: br>br> br>1) The interior of a computer. Two (2) JRGB headers (bottom right, one obscured) are connected to the rear exterior (upper left) of the product. br>2) The back of the house. Longer extension cords (not included) were used to connect the product (top right). br>3) An example of how to use a product (which isn't included).
Do not make a purchase. 10mm is stated in the item description. 8mm is the size of the item that I received. This was required to complete a project this weekend (Saturday, December 15, 2018), but I am now unable to do so. Thanks.
When building an RGB case in a larger case, these are a must-have because cable routing can be a nightmare otherwise. These provide a secure connection to the header as well as other cables - There's no need to worry about cables coming apart, and the fact that they're black keeps the case looking neater.
If you're working in a tight space, the plugs have gaps between the pins and the housing, making it difficult to plug them in. They also don't form a strong bond and fall out easily. It's impossible to tell if they're plugged in because of this combination. If you move your computer at all, they will eventually work their way off the pins.
These were ideal for adding additional RGB to my computer, and they were inexpensive and came with plenty of extras in case I wanted to add more later. Side note: I used black electrical tape to secure the connections; I don't believe this is a manufacturing flaw; simply put, there are four tiny pins that hold these things together. You won't even notice the tape if you use it.
When you have a large case, you can use these to connect RGB fans to a controller. It makes things a lot easier.
