The AY2- cannot be recommended by Lutron LED lights can be controlled by LFSQ because it has an internal controller In comparison with incandescent/halogen loads, LEDs generate a significant amount of surge current. Typically, LED flicker, strobe, buzzing, ghosting, and buzzing are the most common problems associated with devices controlled by incandescent or halogen. It is inevitable that the additional strain LEDs put on a device designed solely for incandescent/halogen lighting will cause the dimmer to fail prematurely.
Bulb play is one of my favorite things to do. YES some of these bulbs work, however some do not, I can only tell you which ones are special - it does not appear there is a true indicator on the box. As for the bulb in my fan, I use an ebay bulb that works fine. Other bulbs have given me problems. If you cannot find what you want yet, keep trying different dimmable led bulbs.
In the case of compact fluorescent bulbs, the dimmer can be used so long as the packaging states that they are dimmable. This is not at all related to the type of dimmer you choose, but to the bulbs themselves.
answer is no. If you don't have a separate switch that controls the fan, then you'll have to hire an electrician to hook up an additional wire from the switch box to the fan.

At my house, I noticed that this switch was not functioning properly. When we changed the fan speed, it resulted in noise in the circuit, which caused my TV to turn off as well as other devices on the circuit. Some devices were not affected, just some of them. We had to wait quite a while before we found out that the switches were the culprits. We have 2 sets installed with the same issue on both circuits. It is a newly built building. In the case of the switch, I called Lutron who sent me replacement switches immediately once I realized it was not the fan or the circuit itself. There were two of them sent to me.
The Lutron brand of electrical devices is among the best on the market in this day and age. That trend has happened in Cooper's case as well, as his quality has declined steadily in the past few It is my job to replace electric switches since I am a repairman. This switch may not be the best designed even though it is of good quality. A toggle switch is designed so that the user can adjust fan speed and light brightness with two tiny sliders on either side of the By means of the toggle switch, both sliders can be turned on and off. Some people may have a problem with the size of the sliders. i set it up for a couple who were senior citizens. The sliders were too small to be seen by them. With a capacitor start motor, it runs at 5 amps and has one incandescent light fixture (no fluorescent bulbs). It has a maximum output of 300 watts). It is not a good idea to wire two fans on each switch as this will eventually result in the switch malfunctioning. I replaced the original switch that had failed, and here is how the electrician/person installed it.
In the first two weeks of using the switch, everything went smoothly. The dimming feature was no longer functional. At the moment, the switch still works only for turning on and off the lights. In addition. In the dining area above our table, I have no light since the light was heating up too much, and I had to remove it for safety reasons, so now I have to find a different brand/type to replace it. Purchasing this Lutron switch turned out to be an expensive mistake. There is no way I would purchase this again, and I would certainly not recommend anyone else purchase it.
Please take note As I've only been using it for a few days, I'll be sure to update if I encounter any problems in the future. I am remodeling a 40s house with the original dark stained wood trim, lathe and plaster walls, so I am not going to replace them but I would like to keep it period looking, thus sticking with toggle switches and outlets that have a non rectangular shape. A 3-point lighting control system would be ideal I would be able to do exactly what I want. It would be great if there was such an item available! (If you know of one, please let me know) **** My only concern would be taking the already low tactile sensation between the levels with time, but for the price, I feel that the quality is justified.
This multi function switch works great for a ceiling fan that uses five 9-watt dimmable LED bulbs in 2700K. Lights and fans can both be controlled, and a traditional light switch look is maintained. As the switch is bulky on the back, it is a bit difficult to fit it inside the old-fashioned switch box instead of the new one. Box used by work gangs.
I am extremely pleased with this product. I had a hard time finding the On the left switch, you can control the speed of a ceiling fan. On the right switch, you can control the dimming. A large switch in the middle is for turning on or off. designed in a very compact manner so the switch can be used as a In the past, this particular switch was extremely expensive. It is definitely worth the asking price today. If you use this type of switch on a regular basis, it will last for years. I had the last one for about 14 years before it began to shorten. I assume this was because I had children who abused it. The ship would have been in service if it had not been This is a product that I can recommend without hesitation.
Because I had four switches in one box, the tabs on the side of the box had to be removed. I installed the GR8, and the light worked as designed. The fan also worked as designed.
I have had my first one for 10 years and never had I think it's great.
