Can you dim the lights or control the speed of the fans with the slider?

This is for fans only. In my case, I bought it for the purpose of controlling a fan. I don't remember the statement about controlling light, and I don't remember which option I used when it was installed. Because I am not familiar with how you would control the light and the fan with just one slider, you should do some research.

It is confusing to me what wire to attach to which wire when I have a fan with a light on it? Do I connect the red wire to the motor and the red wire to the light?

It is my understanding that red wires are for motors, and blue wires are for lights. Then choose those colors if they are yours. The last time I installed one was a while ago

Easy to install - you don't have to do anything

This is a great tool. We just installed a new fan and this was the perfect start. Installation could not be simpler, and the program works great and looks great. It's a very stylish light switch, but it doesn't dim all the way to It is possible to dim the lights down to just 30 percent, which is still a lot of light at times when you need a little more light, such as when you are watching a movie but do not wish to be in total.

Based on the reviews, I bought this because it was the only fan controller that didn't make a whirring noise when a medium speed fan was used. Just like the other controllers we've tried, it does what it's supposed to do.
