The Hunter remote we replaced has been discontinued, so this cost more than $8 on eBay, but it is still a perfect replacement. The Hunter customer service was a complete waste of time. When I asked for a new remote, all they offered was a discount on a full new ceiling fan, when all I needed was a new remote, which they discontinued to provide. Rather than try to trick people into buying a new fan, they no longer provide customer support for their products as they did many years ago. If they truly cared about customers, they'd supply this exact remote I found.

The new controller works much better than the original one when new. I have to admit that once I obtained the correct one and set it up, I am so glad I did. My problem is that there was more than one controller with the same model number and are physically similar, but are not controlled by the same processes.
