Questions & Answers

Model #uc7212t is the remote I have. Does this remote work with the same TV?

The model number of the remote is the same as the original one I had.

Will my old remote work with this remote that has 6 dip switches versus my new one that has 5?

Different addresses can be set with the switches. It should not be a problem to add the extra switch.

This is a brand new reciever. The manual says that it is a model rck55, but the horseshoe receiver labels it as a model RC6. They both seem to be the same, don't they? What are the requirements for a remote control to ?

In fact, the RCK55 receiver goes with the SR600 control.

Now the light is dim and I can't get it to go up, because the dimmer stopped working at a low level. Every other aspect of the system is working as it should. Does my remote need to be replaced?

Ensure the dip switch on the remote has been set to off. This is the one used to dim or turn on the light

There used to be an old way of doing things, but there is no other option nowadays
3/5

After nearly 30 years of extensive use, the ceiling fans we were replacing each had their own on/off and speed switches (but the direction had to be changed manually) AND a dimmer switch that was capable of instantly dimming the lights with full range and instant response. As a bonus, on each side of our bed there were three way wall switches, which we used to switch on and off the light and the fan. A very convenient system. Control wiring from the switches to the light and fan allowed all of this to be accomplished. The control used to use electronic impulses to signal a module in the fan hood (and that appears to be the case for all current brands). In addition, the dimmer does not work as quickly or provide as broad a range of dimming as it could and the fan seems to be slower than expected. After getting the electrical wiring for the two fans (which came with them) installed in the wall, we decided to see if we could use this remote to enable the same amount of flexibility that our original wiring could. This control functions similarly to the wall-mounted model in that it turns the light on and off, turns the fan on and off, dims and rotates the fan, etc. It works in the same way for most purposes as the wall-mounted model. Although there are some strange things, there are other things as well. A wall wired unit has only one light button. This wall unit has two light buttons. Since each button does the same thing, it is unclear why two buttons are needed The lamp can be turned on and off and dimmed/brightened by holding it. There is no difference between the wireless and wired unit in terms of responsiveness. This is why. Despite the fact that the system seems to be working well, I'm not pleased with the lack of more precise control from the fully wired (rather than electronic impulse) controls of years old.

This is the biggest piece of junk I have ever seen

Despite being made in the U. S. , Emerson ceiling fans are made in China. had a few of them and the major issues range from the motor dying to half of the screws popping out of the unit. There are issues with the remote controls and you have to press the fan speed and light buttons a number of times in order The best strategy seems to be to move the fan around the room so it catches the signal. However, these are overpriced, cheaply made fans and do not In the end, they make so much noise and wobble that Emerson knows they make crappy fans and continue to sell them for so long.

I have found a solution that It's so good to be Despite our best efforts, the remote control for our ceiling fan on our screened deck didn't work
5/5

Since we didn't know if the problem was with just the control unit itself or with the fan, we were concerned about an eventual (expensive) electrician's bill for fixing it. In finding this exact same control unit on Amazon, we figured a $40 gamble would be well-worth it. The result was great! Our fans are working again within 20 minutes after the new unit was delivered, and we have full control over them once more! I am very grateful to Emerson, and also to Amazon. Thanks a lot! A new ETA In answer to your question, I would like to clarify that the old remote control was an Emerson, but it was over 6 years old, and the batteries inside had corroded and damaged the internals of the remote, so this was not an Emerzon issue. We ordered the identical unit in complete faith because we trust it will work.

Controls on the remote are very good

Editor's note To dim the lights in my Emerson ECO ceiling fan is a piece of cake with this control. The first thing you must do is change the old bulbs for dimmable types. A pair of LED bulbs was used with the 2-pack A new pin base is required (others have changed out their When the lamps have been changed, you can then move switch 6 to the dimmable (1) setting. Due to the fact that the control appears to be capable of dimming and turning up, I took off one star. There is only one button that dims and brightens the lamp when pressed, but is more like a single button to dim and brighten. By holding the dim button until you achieve the level of light you want, you will achieve the desired brightness. In the case of the lamp, if you hit full dim a fraction of a second too late, it will start to re-dim You are brightening. It would have been nice if the light could be dimmed and brightened with the push of the up and down buttons. I have updated it Apparently another of our EcoFans liked them too, so we bought one for him, too. As with the first, it works in exactly the same way.

The price is a little high, but the product is worth it

The device I'd had for years was finally at the end of its life and had to be replaced. It is during the night that I adjust the speed on the ceiling fan over my bed, depending on how hot the room is. Despite its small size, this remote control actually works. Darkness allows you to easily see which controls you need to press. This remote controls 6 speeds of the fan, as well as on/off buttons for the lights, for the fan, and for the direction of the fan. It's a simple device, and it's well designed.

A consistent and unreliable method of obtaining information
3/5

Putting the remote with a new Emerson Eco Sweep fan worked on the very first try, but controlling the fan with it was a lot of work. There is a problem with the system. It is not consistently functioning or responsive. I need to hit buttons multiple times to get the response I want. Be sure to turn the fan all the way up. I don't know. It will suddenly begin increasing where I set it a moment ago if I turn it back down. By pressing the reverse button, you can go in reverse. I don't know. Light can be turned on or off. I don't know. One day it all You might want to try changing the batteries with known, new ones and changing I did not notice any My Hunter fans have always been controlled by Hunter remotes without any issues. If I get the wall controller in, I hope it will work better, but I'm not optimistic.

The remote control works well
4/5

It is great to have separate switches for the fan and lights on Emerson fans, as they don't support separate controls. As a result, we will not need to get up in order to make adjustments with this remote. For the bedroom, I purchased two of these so that both my wife and I can control it separately without passing remote controls There is an issue with the light control that makes it hard to switch between the phases of turning on, dimming and turning off, but it is an easy fix.

Besides the dirty remote, I also received a dirty manual! Originally ordered to pair with my ceiling fan, but the unit I received shows signs of wear and tear! It is dirty, has batteries in it, and has Velcro on it! It was a disappointment
