Questions & Answers

The FCC ID is M8c204001, will this work?

There is a number there to tell you about interference information with the FCC number on the remote control. There is a model number on the fan that you need to find. You will need a ladder so you can inspect the fan closely and look for the model number when you remove the blades. On the fan, you can put a label.

There is an IV in my windward side. It may not be necessary to add a receiver to this remote to make it work, but does it need the right dip switch setting to work out of the box?

This is better than Home Depot and cheaper. The receiver is original, the code inside the receiver is set to the vfy serial number, and the receiver can pair.

The remote control is not included with the chq7096T. Does anyone know of where to find it?

The remote control pictured here is the chq7096T. Use the FAN TIMER key to stop the fan. In case you need it with reverse, you will need to look up "RR7096TR".

There was a problem with my receiver. Is there someone who can help me find a product on Amazon that will work?

I am pleased with this setup. Matching the fan code to the receiver has not been an issue

I highly recommend this service for fixing the ceiling fan in an instant
5/5

This is the greatest of all We ordered only one replacement remote control for an older Hampton Bay product. Contacting Amazon was much faster than contacting Hampton Bay or Home Depot. We had problems with our ceiling fan doing crazy things like not responding to the RCD that came with it and normally you want your ceiling fan to function well and on command. To be fair, the fan could still be operated from the wall switches but the lights would not illuminate. There were a couple of fixes Our electrician
1) Due to the age of the fan, there may be receiver damage. You should buy a new receiver or a new fan, and have someone install it for you. The cost? $$ + Electrician Labor Costs (Not recommended)

2) According to Make sure that the new remote works with the old remote by getting a new one. What were the costs? Far cheaper, and apparently our prior RCD was.

Definitely recommend it

Once I loaded up my new batteries and removed the old remote, my fan wouldn't turn on with the new Anderic replacement. I was a bit disappointed. Upon returning to amazon, I read reviews from other sellers, and I learned that the settings configuration of the little switches inside the battery compartment of the remote had to be changed. It was a small miracle that I still had the old remote and just copied it exactly (see attached photo). With the help of an eyeglass screw driver, I flipped one of the switches to the other position and voila! The ceiling fan works again - I'm so happy to have this back in my home- If you don't have a remote, it's worthless.

I like it a lot
5/5

As a result of leaking batteries, the little metal springs on our original remote corroded and shattered. In the past couple of days, we hadn't been able to turn off our fan. It was practically half the price of the replacement at a local big box store, so I decided to take a chance. It was good to try it out. Batteries were in place in about the amount of time it took to put them in. With this old remote we were able to find the signal code and we were set. The new remote is even more responsive than our old one.

This is perfect!

I was having trouble getting the batteries to work with my existing remote. Unlike other replacement parts I've used, this one came at an earlier date than expected, was easy to assemble, had a handy wall holder, and worked flawlessly. It was a pleasure dealing with this company and its.

The Hampton Bay remote does the job, but it's a lot cheaper than the original
5/5

It worked perfectly when I replaced the original Hampton Bay remote that unfortunately had a battery leak. I was a little hesitant about buying an aftermarket product, but I'm happy that I did! The wall mount fits both OEM and this model.

I found this method to be very effective

This remote works perfectly to replace a 16-year-old's original remote. I installed the batteries and the first one worked right away. On the second one, the frequency changed, and the new batteries were able to work immediately. I'm grateful for your support! You must make sure you have the same model number as the one listed here.
