It depends on how much water your household consumes and how much crud is present in the water. Every nine years, my family of five is replaced. a period of twelve months When the water doesn't filter as quickly as it should, remove it and scrub it with the included pad.
The water migrates around the filter if the TDS does not change. Check the gasket and the gasket's compression. If the water is being forced through the filter properly, it should take about an hour per gallon to drip through. Check your TDS meter if the drip through time falls within that range. If the drip through time is significant, it appears unlikely that the TDS reading will stay constant. So, my guess is that the meter is the culprit.
Yes, I do clean it with vinegar.

These filters are fantastic; we previously used the black Berkey filters with the pf- 2nd, there's a pf-related issue. 2 is that they take up too much space inside the water reservoir, reducing our berkey's capacity to hold water, so we decided to give these a try to see what the difference was, and we are very pleased that we can now fill the top reservoir with our. To extend the life of your propur g2, I recommend filtering the water that comes into your home with a whole house water filter and having a full gallon of drinking water in less than an hour. 0 filters, I still have my bekey black filters and will be using them for a home made water system so that our chickens can drink clean water, try these and you'll be happy, but don't forget to throw out the first three batches of water at least because the water will be bitter at first, I drank some and it was nasty, but gradually the bitterness goes away and you get some sweet tasting water, and most importantly you'll be able to fill your lower reservoir and use it'.
br>br>I haven't had much experience with them yet, but so far I'm very pleased. br>br>At first, filtering the water took some time. Per gallon, it takes around an hour. However, after filtering about 30 gallons, you can expect to get about 20 gallons. Per gallon, it will take 30 minutes. These filters are extremely useful. br>br> It's a little pricey, but it's well worth it. worth it. Water is delicious and will help you save a lot of money. br>br>*Handle them with caution. While they are sturdy, they cracked open when my wife dropped the gravity canister in which they were placed, spilling small black stones. Obviously, this was an accident, but keep this in mind if you're traveling with them.
My home is in Sacramento, California, where the water is "good. " A glass of propur-filtered water and a glass of store-bought bottled water were presented to a friend. She preferred Propur water because she felt it was smoother and had a more natural flavor. I agree that it improves the taste and smoothness of the water, giving it a silky texture. I really like these filters because they have a nice smooth taste to them.
So, I purchased and installed these filters. They started by leaving a small amount of black sediment at the bottom of the filtered water side containment. That, along with the second round of the initial use, went down the drain. After that, the water tasted great, and I was relieved that I wouldn't have to buy any more bottled water. My wife, on the other hand, noticed a metallic taste in the water a few days later. I assumed it was coming from the storage container we were using, but it was actually coming from the filters themselves. I'm going to see if I can get a refund or a new set, and I'm hoping for the best. I'm not sure what's changed in the flavor.
This filter appeals to me because it contains colloidal silver in the ceramics as well as carbon beads, and it outperforms the competition in terms of total water filtering action!.
It's simple to install and far superior to having a filter in your reservoir. I tested my water after a week and got the same results as when I used the Berkey filters. The only complaint I had was that, in comparison to my Berkey filters, it took a lot more water cycles to clean up the taste of the water. I still don't think the water tastes as good as it did when I used the Berkey filters, but that could just be my perception. It still tastes fresh and clean, and the ease with which it can be installed and maintained makes it well worth the effort. For my canister, I'll keep buying these.
I have the King, which was the largest size available at the time I bought it. After being stranded without power or water for days due to Hurricane Dolly, I decided to purchase one. Now I'm more prepared, and we use this filter on a daily basis, and it's fantastic. br>Another thing is that I called their customer service today because one of the plugs had gone missing when I moved. One will be mailed to me for free today. They have provided excellent customer service.
