After 1,000 gallons (3785 liters) of use, two Berkey PF-2 fluoride water filters should be replaced.

Questions & Answers

What do I have to purchase to replace my Berkeley water filter? Do I have to purchase both the black and white filters? Are the white ones for sale separately, or only the two ?

As far as I am concerned, the black filter is the most important one, and the white ones deal with fluoride. I usually replace both, but the black ones should be the first to be replaced.

What do these look like? Are they authentic Berkey The Berkley company (new millennium concepts, ltd.) believes this is true, since a lot of fakes are out there. ?

There is now no way for me to tell what the product is and that is 100% Berkey's fault. Berkey has way too many authorized distributors and does not clamp down on offenders or counterfeiters. So, when I need filters in the future, I will go straight to purusa and order I would rather have them since they are cheaper and fit my Berkey. The costs of Berkey have become prohibitive and the company

Is New Millennium Concepts an authorized Berkey dealer, and can I confirm this by calling them directly?

I do not know how to answer. If you read the Amazon sites, you will see that I do not have any issues with the items I have purchased at all. When I received the boxes, all Berkey products were on them

In April 2016, I purchased four BB9s and four PF2s. It has now stripped out a second nut. Is there anything you can do for ?

Would you mind if I translated your question into English? Do you need to tighten the bolts that hold the filters on? How do you tighten the screws? With your hands or a wrench?

I bought this in April 2016, but have not had much success with it

They have a 5-year life expectancy according to the OEM. These fluoride filters did not last very long, so I replaced them. My guess is that they work, but you have to hang them in the bottom container with the filtered water The Fluoride filters will sit in your drinking water for a full day if you fill the top container with the fluoride filters. This was an afterthought in the design, and it puts a lot of weight on the threads of the black filters when you turn the top over to clean. There is no need to replace black filters every 5 years as they should last for that long. About two years ago, the threads on one of the filters stripped (you can't see the damage, but when you tighten the nut you can clearly see it). According to one article, you can put Teflon tape on the threads to hold the nut in place. Over the course of the last year, I followed that method. I washed out the top container of the truck If you want to clean it, you have to take the filters out. The thread on the black filter of another black filter was stripped when it had to be replaced. Those two are out of the way. Given the cost, you should not have to deal with this. Blocking plugs from Berkey seal a hole in which a filter should have been. It is not a problem to strip these threads because of their correct construction! It would be great if Berkey could manufacture their filters at the same level The filters are definitely made correctly for the price they charge. It would be nice for Berkey to replace these filters but there was no way to contact the vendor on the Amazon page so maybe Berkey will respond. The Internet seems to suggest that I should not call Berkey tomorrow, so I'll try to avoid wasting time calling him.

It was great customer service from Berkey when they isolated and solved the problem after an alarm went off

A great product. I have used my Berkey in the past and have enjoyed it. In addition to the white Berkey filters, I replaced two Black Berkey filters recently. As for the red-eye, I had not done it Then, she decided to go through with the dye test. I had a problem with my unit. about how to resolve the issue. The first step is to be sure the wings are intact There is a problem with nuts that are not loosening up after they are It was unclear what she meant at first, but she made the 3 tighter and tighter. There was clearly a loose filter on the fourth. Tightening it made it loosen, so I then loosened it again. The problem was that the wing was defective- I had to try several times- I am nuts. As a result, I was able to replace an extra one, and all was well. The Berkey representative recommended placing a glass under each filter to determine which one was faulty. It was still worth it to me. I was blown away by what you said! A crystal clear glass was in the hands of three people. As a result of the red dye, the other one was red. I can fix the problem now that I've isolated.

When I wear the Berkey, does it make a difference whether I use all of the holes? Your decision will have costs, and there will also be a cost to that All of the cartridge holes are used by me

In spite of the fact that I'm on city water, I don't trust the sources of the water I drink in the different places and states I visit. My dogs' health is equally as important to me as what they drink, since I am a breeder. There is also an artesian deep-water well in my property That's all right. The water I use for drinking comes from the well. I do not use city water, and yes, I use the white arsenic/flouride filters as well. There is no sulfur in the water, and it is clean and crystal clear. Water can have different effects based on the area where you are getting it from. With these dual filters, I can easily get two years' worth of use out of them. Water is displaced by the filters, so the Royal has a capacity of less than 2 gallons at a time I'm fine with that, since it makes less water at a time. A 5-pointer makes sense to me There is always a bucket of water for the dogs The instructions state that you should replace the white filters more often than the black ones, but you are not required to do that. Here are two things you should do 2) Get the information you need to test the water in your county The cost is in the neighborhood of There are some things they do not test. call your local pool company and request their help in testing the water in your pool, which is usually filled by well water (deep or shallow/rock type) The store will often give you a free water test kit if you say it's for your swimming pool. They think they can sell you some chemicals that you need Those tests are for things that the city is not testing for. Depending on how clean your water is, you can get a general idea of how long your filters will last if you compare the two. The trick is Once a year or every 6 months if your unit is kept outside under a cover, like my Royal is, you will want to replace the black cartridges and clean the outsides with a scrubby. This cleans the spaces and allows for an extra year of use. I like it. Make sure there isn't anything wrong with your water before replacing these. If you spend the money replacing them, you may not need them. There's no getting around the cost, but I've seen too many negative reviews about trying cheaper alternatives, so I only use Berkey.

Do black filters turn out to be a bad lot? My contact with the seller has been established and I hope she will resolve the issue soon
3/5

This will be updated accordingly if that is the case. These just came into my hands and had problems straight out of the box. Three of the black filters won't prime when I try to prime them. One of the stems broke when I tried to prime it and the water runs through all of To no longer be able to drink filtered water that I trusted and instead have to purchase bottled water is somewhat frustrating. The situation will hopefully only last a short while.

The hub is disassembled from the block, the filtration is bypassed on all 6 filters and the seepage is enabled! This has been a consistent failure for all the units I've They are made poorly

After a few months of filtering clear tap water for just my daughter and I, I noticed that the plastic hubs leaked at the bottom of the block, probably due to poor glue There was no carbon block filter at all in the Napple. It flowed into the collection chamber as if there was none. The bottom line is that you cannot rely on these to filter water if you are in a I wasted hundreds of dollars on a defective product. Thank goodness I did not have to rely on it, and I have been notified.
