Questions & Answers
For this filter to work, it doesn't matter which way it's pointed. There is no difference between the two ends. It can be installed in either direction as long as the filter is centered in the bore and has a uniform radial gap all the way around.
Depending on the quality of the water in your city, this could take anywhere from four to six months.
We have not detected a sweet taste in the filtered water from our experience with this product.

For more than 25 years, I've used countertop water filters. This is a good filter to use in place of the original. It is filtered to. Despite its small size (5 microns), it allows for good flow when compared to other filters I've tried. This company provided me with a countertop enclosure and filter, and I'm very happy with it. The components are of the highest quality; there are no shortcuts. br>I went two years without changing the filter. Why? For a long time, it worked flawlessly, and I never gave it another thought. I believe it will last a year rather than six months, but after that, you should replace it. The inside of the enclosure did require disinfection and cleaning, but it is otherwise in excellent condition. Then I put the new cartridge in. Ah. water with a great taste once more. br>br>Because I'm picky about the taste of tap water, I use a countertop water filter. Where I live, we do have good "city" water, but it is insufficient. This filter does an excellent job of getting rid of any remaining bad taste. I'm pleased with the taste of my water. br>br>Made in the United States of America How frequently do you come across something like that? As long as this company continues to produce this filter, I will continue to purchase it. By the way, I strongly advise you to visit their website; I could have saved a few dollars had I done so, but oh well, I'll return in six months. This time, I'm not going to be as patient.
One thing that worried me was that some people claimed that after installing this filter, their water had a slight coconut flavor, which is a LARGE LIE. Since installing this brand, I have never tasted anything but clean filtered water, which is fantastic because it means the filter is performing as expected, if not better. br>This filter is superior to the GE filters, which are very expensive. One thing I noticed about the new filter is that it is more than a centimeters taller than a GE filter, and another thing I found interesting was that the gasket in these filters doesn't shrink and allow non-filtered water to pass through, in other words these filter come with silicone gasket and there was never a drop in water pressure. br>The filter's construction resembles that of more expensive filters in appearance and feel. Remember to rinse the new filter with clean water before installing it to remove any dust or carbon particles, and then run the water for at least 5 to 8 minutes after installing it to flush your water system.
Filter with a micron rating of 5 Our area has a lot of iron, so I drink a lot of water. I tried them out but will not be buying them again. A true . Your water flow will be severely restricted if you use a 5 micron filter. This filter's flow is far too high, akin to a dripping faucet. So I pulled out my water tester to find out more. I switched between my tap and the filter for five tests. My tap water has been filtered with two 10 micron whole house filters, a UV light, and an oversize softener. TDS (total disolved solids) were 153 PPM on average when the tap was turned on. The TDS average that came out of this filter was always 164ppm. This filter not only does not filter anything, but it also adds some sort of particulate (yes, I flushed the filter for 10 minutes after installation). Furthermore, the test was performed one month after the initial installation, indicating that the filter should be completely flushed at this time. Since I bought three of these, I'm going to try one more to see if there's any internal damage. Prior to installation, I did inspect the filter and found no signs of damage on the outside. Well, you get what you pay for, I suppose. I'm going to go back and get a genuine. Filter with a micron rating of 5.
Because I'm not a microbiologist (or whatever profession studies water quality), I'll just let my image speak for itself.
Left: THREE (3) MONTHS OF MEDIUM USE IN NEW YORK (the city with the "cleanest tap water in the world"). br>Left: br>Left: br>Left A brand new replacement filter has been installed. br>br>I'm not sure if this filters out anything or not. All I know is that I didn't consume a large quantity of brown, foul-smelling liquid (barf!). ), which is an abbreviation for abbreviation for abbreviation for ab I'm fine with it.
These were about an eighth of an inch too short. They were long enough to prevent the filter housing from fully closing, resulting in leakage when used. Other cartridges fit perfectly in the filter housing.
The water has a pleasant flavor to me. My filter needed to be replaced after 8 months, but it should have been done at 6 months. However, there were no unusual flavors to taste, and when I removed the inner filter, it was light brown, as I had expected from the mineral deposits in our water. I fell in love with it so much that I bought one for my mother.
I haven't run any tests to see if it really does filter everything it claims to. However, the water is pleasant to drink, and it must be preferable to nothing. Until someone comes up with proof that I shouldn't, I'm going to keep buying these filters.
Water consumption on a daily basis. It's flavorless and transparent. There are no issues.
