Although I am not a plumber, I believe it must be mounted on a wall or other flat surface. You might not need the support rod if your water lines are galvanized and properly supported. If the pipes are made of pvc or copper, I believe a support rod is necessary. You might want to seek professional advice from a plumber, as I am only a jackleg. br>Best of luck to you.
The supply line must protrude 3/8" (3/16") from the finished sink wall, and both must be the same distance apart.

Rather than switching to a plastic tub, we decided to keep our farmhouse sink. However, we did not make use of the bucket support. Because the bucket is in the sink, we don't require it. Great quality, I liked the coarse threads, they fit perfectly, and they even inspired me to start cleaning the real thing, as you can see in the photos.
It worked well and turned out nicely. It looked better in person than it did in the photos.
We had a great time with this! We put it in a utility sink and it worked perfectly. My only regret is that I did not purchase a swivel chair. It has a nice, heavy flow of water.

Great.
The quality isn't quite what I was hoping for, but the work is satisfactory.

For the mud room, this is a great complement to the stainless tub sink.
