solid brass made to order
1/2- IPS connections of 1 inch
The threaded hose connection at the spout's end is made of metal rather than plastic.
I honestly don't know if it's painted plastic or not, but it's well-made; we use it every day and it's still going strong after about 9 months.

If I had the option, I would rate this faucet 5 stars. I bought it to replace a 20-year-old one that had worn out. My basement's laundry tub has an old faucet. For two reasons, I decided against going with the same bare-bones model as before. To begin with, while it appears to be identical to my previous model, the current version is entirely made of plastic, including the connection pipes. Because I use my laundry tub frequently, the faucet sees a lot of action. Second, the goose neck spout on this faucet makes filling tall containers much easier. This upgrade is a great value for the money at only $14 more. The faucet set is entirely made of metal and is of exceptional quality. It only takes a quarter turn of the spigot to go from zero to full water pressure. The maximum water pressure is far greater than I'll ever need. It's stylish enough to use anywhere and has the appearance and feel of a high-end faucet. The hot and cold spigots, according to one reviewer, were in the wrong place. On a small disc in the center of the spigots, there are temperature symbols in blue and red. They're simple to swap out and remove. It only takes five minutes to get it up and running, and it's as secure as a drum. This book comes highly recommended.
Solidly built. A great value for the price and better than what you'd get at a "home improvement" store for the same price. The internals are entirely made of solid brass, and the spout is quite large - The outer trim is chromed metal (probably aluminum or steel) and feels substantial. Handles are smooth to turn and open fully with a 1/2 turn. The spout is high enough that a bucket can easily be slid under it. The spout rotates freely, perhaps too freely for some, but this can be easily tightened with the square bolt underneath the faucet. The spout fits a standard garden hose attachment (which is why I bought it) and is therefore best suited for use in a laundry tub or workroom, though it is attractive enough to look good anywhere. Because the aerator is housed within the threaded fitting, you'll need to wrap the threads in a towel before attempting to unscrew it. br>br>Overall, this is probably the best faucet I've seen for less than $40. Plastic internals beneath metal veneer (also known as "garbage") are available for $40 in most stores. @Amazon: br>br>@Amazon: br>br>@Amazon: br>br Please revise this item's description – The description mentions a "kit" that includes braided supply hose, but that's not what I got (or what I'd expect for the price). I only got the faucet, and it came in a box that was big enough for it.
Eventually, it will be discarded! From the beginning, there was a leak. Thanks to the positive feedback, we were able to recommend this fantastic fixture. It's of excellent quality, with the exception of the base/lower shell, which is made of plastic. Underneath it all is brass, including the hot/cold threads. The garden hose threads are a perfect fit for the Farberware portable dishwasher hose I'm using (pic). The ceramic cartridges make a big difference; they feel very smooth and expensive. I'm using a standard threaded pivoting sprayer with a half-garden hose adapter fitting, and it's working great so far with no leaks! It even *looks* nice; no one would guess it's a "utility" light fixture! I wish I'd known about this unit before I put the plastic garbage in! (tip: Teflon tape, PTFE pipe thread compound, and o-rings are some of the materials used. Silicone ring gaskets are a DIYer's best friend. especially if you're working with a vintage RV! )br>TIP 2: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "in The hot/cold buttons in the handles were reversed, according to one reviewer. No, she put it in backwards. The base's logo is turned *away* from the front/sink side!.
Although it has not yet been installed, the quality of the product has already impressed me. Once installed, it will be updated.
11- 18 The system is now up and running. This is far superior to the sink's original configuration. Everything is made of metal and is of high quality. It comes with a built-in screen and the option of connecting it to a hose pipe if necessary.
I looked at a lot of laundry faucets, and this is the only one that uses ceramic valves and is under $40. In this category of faucets, there isn't much to choose from. They're either 2 to 3 times the price of this faucet, or they're $20-$30 worth of junk. In-store purchase of $30 at a big box retailer Lowe's and Home Depot have their own house brands, such as Project Source and Glacier Bay. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO RE-DO THEM, SKIP THEM. INSTALL YOUR FAUCET AFTER ONE OR TWO YEARS. The faucet is a fantastic deal for a faucet with ceramic valves. Rather than paying three times as much for a Kohler (which also has ceramic valves), opt for this. It has the appearance and feel of a high-end washing machine faucet. The $20- All of the $30 items found in big-box stores are garbage. One recently leaked on me at the most inopportune moment.
I looked locally for a set of utility sink faucets and came across a few mongrels that were over-the-top. The price is high, and the plumbing mounts are unusual. Furthermore, the ones sold in the orange and blue big box stores are completely useless. I will say it once more: For utility sink fixtures, big box stores are useless. br>br>This faucet, which is chromed brass with a threaded terminal spout for garden hose attachment, cost around $30. In my opinion, this is a must-have for a garage/shop utility sink. It's a good machine. The spout swivel action is silky smooth, as are the quarter turn valves. It took more time to open the package than it did to install it. The spout's height makes it easier to fit a 5 gallon bucket underneath it. In my opinion, this is yet another must-have. An aerator does not restrict the large bore water inlet and outlet. As a result, this fixture can handle a significant amount of water. There isn't anything wrong with this faucet that I can think of. In a heartbeat, I would purchase again.
It is of excellent quality and costs a fraction of what you would pay in a large department store. This is a very durable faucet that has been in use since it was installed. It was a breeze for me to install this while my husband was away at work. The only thing I needed from Home Depot were hoses, so I simply brought the box in and a worker told me what size I needed. I love that I can connect it to a hose and use warm water to clean my patio!.
