obtain this device When it comes to repairing or replacing bathtub/shower faucets, this tool is invaluable. If you don't replace those valve seats, you'll have a hard time getting the water to the right temperature.
When it comes to "household chores," I'm average. Our faucet would leak, and I'd replace some washers, only for it to leak again a month later. Then I went to YouTube and learned that the "seat" beneath the cartridge needed to be replaced. That tiny seat ring was easily removed with this wrench. With this wrench, I installed a new seat, and voila. Everything appears to be in order.
I needed to use a tapered wrench because of the size of my faucet seats. Note: If your seats have been in place for a long time, start by applying a penetrating oil and allowing it to sit for a few minutes. After that, insert the wrench and turn it while applying downward pressure to the vertical portion. This will keep the wrench secure and prevent the valve seat from being stripped.
This wrench is ideal for replacing a faucet, especially on an older tub.

I completed the task and was able to remove the seat without difficulty. Starting a new seat straight can be difficult (this is probably due to me, not the tool).
