It does the job it was intended to do, but there are two annoying things about it. They are cut during manufacture to make it easy for them to slide on, but this also means that they slide off when they're touched. You may want to consider If you speak to them hushedly, make sure you say their name. After I superglued them together, one of the rugs was damaged by the big and powerful garbage disposal. Let's remember him. It is not the bottom of the sink that is flat, but the grate. There are 4 feet and they are all the same length, so the middle 2 feet do not I don't think it's a big deal, it's rather stout so it doesn't flex that.
are attached with flexible clear E6000 adhesive, which holds them on extremely well (because the stainless steel is bent into the bottom of the sockets in the feet. It is also recommended that the 12 side bumpers be glued (or better yet, molded onto the side bars), but I do not expect them to hold as securely since the split donut bumpers slide when being mounted. Since then, I have removed several from the garbage disposal when the garbage disposal makes an odd noise. So far none have ground up (tough rubber), but they do pop out of If there were a dozen extra side bumpers included with the bottom grid, then I would feel a lot better. Selling the bumpers and feet on Amazon might be a good idea. I'd appreciate it if you could track me down and send me bumpers.
The third one I purchased to fit my sink measures 31 inches by 14 inches. The two are not as close as I thought they would be. We'll have no choice but to use this one. It won't get scratched as much by the pots and pans. This product is made of sturdy materials. There's something about the black rubber feet that I don't like - they don't seem to It doesn't seem like they are going to last very long if necessary, we may need to replace them.
It's those rubber bumpers that get to me. The purpose of this purchase was to protect our quartz sink from scratches when doing dishes (this is the first quartz sink we've had, so we don't know how long it will last). When it comes to our dishwasher, we rarely use it. Our sink is the Elkay Quartz Luxe ELXRU13322CA0 and As I am removing burnt food from a flying pan that my wife just used, it does not seem to flex as I apply a lot of pressure to it. I have applied black RTV across all of the slits on the rubber side protectors in hopes that this will fix the problem. The rubber side protectors have split and come off constantly. There were plenty of rubbers on the market strong enough to use instead of their soft one. It's probably possible for me to remove them and never have to worry about the sink grid rubbing on the wall. Still, I advise you to try.
Despite what we initially believed, this sink protector is made of much thicker metal than we had expected. The sink bottom is one inch tall and fits securely with only one inch This is a high quality product, but it is expensive. My recommendation is to get this particular brand of sink, but be sure to get the right size.
The drain opening and the edge of the drain had raised lips. I was unaware of the raised lip. To keep dishes from falling off, I think that is an excellent feature. It is convenient that the edge bumpers can be removed and that the feet are not just covers.
Unlike my previous stainless steel sink, I did not receive a grid at the time of purchase of my Elkay quartz sink. Here on Amazon, I was able to purchase it for a great price.
With my last sink, I was using a grid for the first time ever. It proved to be indispensable to me. Leaving glassware and the like to drain in the sink is fine. Even when you run the garbage disposal or water disposal, you won't get anything There will never be a time when I am without one.
There's no need to worry about scratches. Can't seem to figure out what others were talking about with the plastic covering falling off the feet. Thanks to super glue, I didn't have to worry about it. I also have a stainless steel farmhouse sink, so this will work well.
